Really nice spacious chalet which is brilliantly equipped. We were 4 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of space. Easy drive to the bottom of the slopes although there is the path which is an easy walk to/from the chalet which will take you to the chairlift (we didn't do this because of lack of snow). We did ski down one day and walked our skis up which was only a few minutes walk. We did also use the path to walk to the Preyerand lift which was really easy. Sauna is really nice and easy to use, boot locker and dryer is handy and plenty of parking shared with other chalets. Communication with Kris was good ahead of our stay and we did have a minor ant problem which Kris offered to take care of right away but we were shortly due to leave. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great week in chalet snowden. The location is great for access to slopes, ski hire and supermarket. A bit limited in terms of bars and restaurants, but nice pizza place round the corner. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the big table for dining and games. Sauna, table football and video game table were all very popular

Lovely property but busses into town aren't great. (Last one is 17:45
Property was lovely and very close to the piste, only 100m down or up the road. The piste is a very easy blue so everyone can ski down to the Bettex lift regardless of ability. We had some problems with the sauna. We were warned if you put too much water on the rocks the sauna electrics will trip but too much water turned out to be any more than a drop. Bit of a shame. Unfortunately the free bus service to this part of Les Menuires isn't great. The last bus from the centre of town back to the chalet is at 17:45. This means if you want to go out for dinner or to a bar in the evening you will have to walk back. The walk back isn't too long, it is 1.7km about 25 minutes if you follow the road. There is a slight shortcut but it involves a lot of steps and is quite dark- not great for children or adults that have had a drink... The supermarket up the road is better and a little cheaper than the Sherpa in Les Croisette. Mike was really helpful during the booking and answered all the questions I had about the area. He has provided a map of the resort highlighting close shops, restaurants etc and the route to the piste. We were even given a box of celebrations in our welcome pack. Beds were comfy although pillows were VERY thin, rooms were warm and all the bathrooms were spotless. The lack of busses is something to consider if you plan to visit restaurants or bars but the actual chalet is a really lovely place the only problems we had were with the Sauna. Would be great for children as well as there are a lot of games and DVD etc. Worth mentioning the busses don't run properly on Saturday's. You have to call the bus station and 'reserve' a bus or they won't run. We didn't realise this and had to walk the 1.5 km with our bags! Check out is at 10am so if you don't drive and have a transfer try and make sure they pick you up by 10 or you will have to make your way to croisette with your bags Saturday morning.

Great summer holiday in Chalet Snowdon Rachel G
Great summer holiday in Chalet Snowdon Rachel G
We have just come back from a fabulous holiday in Chalet Snowdon in Les Menuires. We loved the accommodation and location. The chalet was perfect for our party. We had a few families with young children and it was very child friendly with highchairs and travel cots provided - even down to the cot sheets. The owner Mike, went out of his way to answer all our questions and was most helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for a truly amazing service. The children loved going on the cable cars and ski lifts and we did some great walks up in the mountains. We cant wait to come back again!

For french people who appreciate to eat well in particular during christmas there miss some devices for cooking, for example something to dry salad or large plates to prepare big cakes... Nevertheless the basic is there to spend marvelous holidays with my big family

Spacious, comfortable and in a beautiful spot.
Spacious, comfortable and in a beautiful spot.
This is the second time we have stayed in Chalet Snowdon at this time of year and enjoyed it just as much. As a party of 11 people, consisting of 3 children (aged 4, 8 and 11) and 8 adults, we found Chalet Snowdon accommodated us very comfortably. Real assets were the number of good bathrooms and the great dining area , where we all ate for the majority of evenings. The children ( and big kids) would probably add the table football , electronic games and board games. The weather was beautiful for walking , which, surprisingly the children loved and walked for miles. Favourite walks being to the lake and up the mountain to the restaurant Chalet De La Masse for lunch....we ventured up there several times, the steeper way taking about 35 minutes from the chalet and the longer walk on the path, taking about 45 minutes. We also drove to a nearby lake for the day, about an hour away in Bozel. This had activities for children, swimming areas and a bar/restaurant........an enjoyable day out. It was extremely useful to have two supermarkets within 15 minutes walking distance and they provided all that we needed.....although we also drove once, to the big supermarket 30 minutes away.. Great too, to have restaurants within the same walking distance...would recommend La Haut, Le Bistrot Des Cimes, as well as the Chalet De La Masse. Unfortunately the pizza restaurant, a few minutes walk away, was closed for July this year.....it was very handy last year for quick snacks, or a drink, and also owned 2 goats, which wandered around nearby ....we missed seeing them this time. I would certainly recommend Chalet Snowdon for all age groups , and hope to return there again......it would be lovely to see it in the snow and it must be an absolute joy for skiers, being in such a fantastic area.
