A fantastic hotel/appartment, in a great location with a friendly team.

Location was superb, with lovely and really helpful hotel team on hand when ever needed.

Our room could have done with some more hanging space and storage space. For 4 people for a week it was a little crowded.

The team at Résidence Le Portillo were friendly, helpful, well organised and always happy to help. As well as a restaurant, the residence has two nice bars. The bar overlooking the slopes has a large deck and a big screen for sporting events and good music. A ski out residence, Le Portillo is centrally located with easy access to ski shops, lift pass outlet, restaurants, bars, supermarkets & everything you might want or need on a ski holiday.

Terrible

Good location

Dust or mould problem in the room, shower pipe broke and flooded the room causing us to have to move rooms, extremely rude and unapologetic staff throughout whole process, the manager opened our apartment door without us knowing and walked inside when we were in our underwear and when we said “sorry we’re not ready, the manager said “well I am”.

Great location, lovely hotel - but bring ear plugs

Great central location, responsive to issues - maintenance came very quicklly to sort out malfunctionning lights.

Dirty ski storage area - thick layer of dirt on the floor, dirty lockers - dropping a glove was a nightmare. Noisy outside at all hour of night - but this was obviously not the accommodation's fault. Bring ear plugs for sleep.

Great location, lovely apartment

Ski out-we were in S/C apartments- they were modern and fresh, like brand new. Great location- rest of resort very accessible.

Not ski in- although bus stop directly outside- so not really a game changer!! Being in the s/c side- we were told we couldn’t use the hotel facilities, even tho we expected to pay!

Good apartment in a combined hotel & apartment. So additional benefit of full time reception, bar and restaurant. Good location in the middle of town, and convenient for the ski slopes The team running the residence were great

An enjoyable week skiing with family in a great location.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The communal areas were clean. The apartments are well equipped. Nice and close to the shops.

The boot room is very small and not enough seats for everyone. There is a bit of noise at night from local bars.

ski locker room was a little awkward as little space to change into boots or move between the lockers though there was lots of locker space. no kettle in the kitchen. seemed odd.

View was nice and beds were comfy enough. Temperature in the room was really good, you cannot feel any cold.

Kitchen is poorly equipped. There was no electricity socket to plug the coffee machine. Check out procedure where you need to wait for inspection of property before you get a green light to go. The requirement to clean the studio before departure is kind of exaggerated.

Must do self-cleaning. Very little provided, one roll of toilet paper, no cleaning products, very few dish ware. Nightlife nearby was very loud late into the night

Great location, reasonably priced accommodation on the slopes and close to shops and restaurants.

Excellent central location. 24 hour reception was ideal as we were late arriving due to traffic on the mountain road. Accommodation was clean, well appointed and had great access to the slopes and the Peclet area of Val Thorens for restaurants and bars.

the location is central in the village , close to the ski hire , and more importantly you could ski out from the hotel .

lights off constantly in halls which was dangerous especially after a few drinks. no doors in apartment, so no privacy between people staying in same apartment

Loved how we could ski down to the lessons in the morning!

Didn’t get cleaning supplies straight away, we had to ask! Toilet roll wasn’t included either. For the pull out couch I would recommend asking for an extra duvet as the blanket wouldn’t be enough!

The bathroom was excellent compared to other apartments at the same price range.

The kitchenware wasn't very clean because this is cleaned by the previous guests. So we hand washed everything before first use. A sponge and one detergent (even if it is already opened) would be a very nice thing to have always included in the kitchen.

1. This is not a ski-in hotel. 2. The hotel does not provide toilet paper and trash bags. Also, the hotel requires us to empty our trash bags to the trash bins outside the hotel. 3. The hotel charged us 300 Euro as a deposit, payable back only upon completing a series of cleaning assignments such as polishing the mirror, scrubbing the toilet, vaccuming the floor, etc. 4. The beds were really short and uncomfortable.

Highly recommend this hotel, my room was basic, but it was clean and quiet and in a good location.

Great location to get on the slopes and for exploring the town in evenings. Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Although the hotel is in a central/busy part of the town, it was quiet in the evenings.

They take a €300 swipe of your card and release after you have cleaned your room to their satisfaction before departure. Restaurant and bar were not open during the day, a problem on bad weather days.
