Beautiful scenery, fabulous walks & pubs

Lovely clean cosy cottage with open fire . Natasha was very welcoming and provided us with everything we needed and the little treats for us and our dog were very much appreciated . The village is a great base to explore the area. Fabulous walks and lots of lovely local pubs to enjoy.

The host had really gone the extra mile to ensure you had everything you could possibly need. Property instructions were clear and helpful. I absolutely loved how comfy the bed was too.

Property near a busy road (hardly avoidable) and the stairs to the top floor were very slippy and narrow. We all nearly fell down them, but our teen did. Doesn't take away from how fabulous the cottage is.

Fabulous cosy cottage

We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful cottage, I wish we had been there longer. It was cosy, warm (log fire), clean, had everything we needed for cooking. The bathroom was lovely, I enjoyed a lovely bath after a day walking and wild swimming. It was easy to find, free parking near by but you can unload close by. Little enclosed garden at the back. The cottage is dog friendly and the host had left a bed, bowls, toys, blanket, treats, towel for him. The host gave lots of info before arriving on how to access the cottage and about the surrounding area. The fire was all laid and just ready for me to light on arrival. We will be returning and I’d recommend. I’d a risky like to live here, I loved how it was decorated.

There was nothing we didn’t like. The stairs are quite steep if you struggle with stairs but none of us do so it was fine for us

Perfect location for exploring the western lakes, well equipped cottage and free parking close by. Great places to eat out within walking distance. Brilliant bakery nearby. Comfortable beds and dog friendly.

Lovely, well decorated property in great location for exploring the Lake District.

Beautifully decorated with all the equipment we needed for a comfortable family stay. Lovely touches such as milk, tea coffee and biscuits. Perfect location for visiting the coast and Wastwater Lake/Scafell Pike. Italian restaurant and pub very close by. Lovely little backyard to have a morning coffee. I was there for a charity walk and was really touched that the property owner enquired afterwards how it gone and even donated towards my fundraising - how incredibly thoughful!!

That I had to go back to work and couldn’t stay longer!

It was on the main road and the traffic for Sellafield started quite early.

The cottage was clean and cosy situated in a lovely village with great facilities on your doorstop. Scarfell Pike, beach and Stanley waterfall Natasha is a great host, very informative and the Jamaican food was just amazing, highly recommended. The little touches to make your stay positive even for our dog 👌 .

We were there for 4 nights and loved the location and the cottage. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Great Location the cottage was nicely presented, very clean and comfortable. Natasha was great at responding to any questions prior to the visit. We would definitely visit again if looking to visit that area. The neighbours and people within the local pubs and restaurant's were all friendly.

I think we were surprised by the steepness of the stairs up to the top bedroom, you need to be fit and able to access it. The main staircase was fairly steep with painted steps, so again just some care needed when in use. The garden was not fully enclosed, with shared access so just to be aware if you have a dog (it wasn't a problem for us).

Lovely stay in beautiful cosy cottage

Lovely Cosy Cottage in the beautiful village of Gosforth. The cottage is in a brilliant location near two pubs, one of them serves food. There’s a lovely bakery, another pub, and shop nearby too. The cottage was very clean, the decor was lovely. It had everything we needed, including in the kitchen. Natasha left us a welcome pack with bits such as milk and juice which was a lovely gesture after our 7 hour journey. Both bedrooms are a nice size, the bathroom was lovely with a good shower and complimentary toiletries. We would love to stay again soon and would definitely recommend.

Anyone with mobility issues could struggle to get up the stairs as they are a little steep with an exposed left side so wouldn’t recommend for very frail/ elderly people. But for context my 80 year old grandad was okay going up the stairs (he is very fit though for an 80 year old) so this didn’t impact us at all. Those with young children would need be prepared to supervise carefully on the stairs too due to the exposed left side.

Mi è piaciuto tutto di questo alloggio, era perfetto,accogliente, ben arredato e molto pulito. Il bagno è bellissimo e spazioso. Il mio cane è stato calmo come se fosse a casa sua,e ringrazia per i giochi, i biscotti e la sua cuccia !

Il letto era troppo morbido per la mia schiena ma questo è solo un mio gusto personale!
