Quiet and Relaxing property and village.
Very quiet. Tabby Cat appearing the rear of the property was very friendly.
Love the decor and the tree theme that ran throughout the property.
No shortage of USB charge hubs with built in 3 pin sockets to plug into were also readily availabe.
Never seen these types anywhere on line or I would have bought some for ourselves!
2 historic nearby bars/restaurant from the 1890s with wooden beams etc.
Looking forward to creating a YT film next. We are both YT creators.
Alexis is the Spy in the property which we immediately unplug.
Made a B T and EMF sweep of the property to ensure discussions stayed private, nothing else found.
Lighting was difficult to figure out, but by 2nd day we were almost there lol.

This is a beautiful and quirky cottage with beautiful little touches around the place. We loved the secret garden, my teenagers loved the bunk beds which were spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot. My husband and I loved the bedroom upstairs which was very spacious.

This cottage is an absolute gem and one of the most unique places we’ve ever stayed. Located in the peaceful village of Beckermet, it offers the perfect escape while still being ideally placed to explore the Lake District. The stunning wooden features throughout create a warm and cosy atmosphere, and the tree at the centre of the cottage is truly special — a magical, one-of-a-kind feature that makes the space feel beautifully connected to nature. Outside, the lovely garden is a tranquil spot to relax and unwind. The cottage is also extremely dog-friendly, which made a huge difference for us. It felt genuinely welcoming rather than just pet-tolerant, and the surrounding area is perfect for scenic walks straight from the doorstep. What really elevated our stay were the owners, Peter and Zoê, who were incredibly helpful, responsive, and thoughtful throughout. A particularly memorable touch was the treasure hunt they designed for our children — such a creative and kind idea that made the stay extra special and unforgettable for the whole family. This is far more than just accommodation — it’s an experience. If you’re looking for a place with heart, originality, outstanding hosts, and a true family- and dog-friendly atmosphere, this cottage is an absolute must. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and already planning our return.

Clean, well decorated house. Nice garden. My son liked treasure hunt game.
Room for children has a boiler installed. At night it was very unpleasant to sleep with that noise. Main door jammed. We had to use the other door which was hard to carry luggages. Received couple of messages about the door while I was climbing on the mountain which was annoying. Anyway. Nobody came to fix the door. My small trip was ruined (not to mention 7 hour drive to reach this place). It is also far away to lake district. Roads are very twisty we were sick while we left.
