Large comfortable accommodation. Everything you could possibly need included. Superb location for hill walks.
Parking OK for two cars. Easy to get keys for. Good WhatThreeWords provided by host.
Boot room on entry was great was great so as not to get the rest of the cottage mucked up.
Two decent pubs very close by.
This really could do with being an "Improvement" section rather than didn't like:
- My main gripe is the heavy metal pull chord for the bathroom light switch banging against the bathroom door every time you open the door from the hallway. If people are using the toilet at night you will be woken up by this bang. You can't stop it from doing this yourself. It needs moving over slightly or rethinking by the host. (Bad design)
- Again an issue with the bathroom is that the boiler / central heating makes a constant knocking sound when someone uses the shower. This will wake you up in the night/early in the morning if you are in the main bedroom. (I'm not sure how this could be remedied.)
- Fridge very loud (not a massive issue but had to make sure all downstairs doors were shut)
- Headboard VERY creaky on bed in main bedroom (Needs screwing on better)

We loved the location of Cottage on the Brook.
The property was spotlessly clean throughout and contained everything we required for our short break in the lakes.
We would definitely recommended the property and would love to return in the future.

The cottage is well located, close to pubs, local shop, amazing walks and things to do nearby. The village is very beautiful and delivers everything you can hope for a stay in the lakes.
Communication with the host was super easy and the cottage has everything you’d expect. The place was clean and extremely comfortable, the entire group enjoyed it after the day’s activities. Ideal for recharging, socialising and spending quality time with friends and family. Parking for 2 cars and more available nearby.
Those in the group who didn’t sleep in the master bedroom found beds uncomfortable and the twin beds weren’t for adults.

Perfect location, it was extremely well equipped with everything you need. Perfect little touches to accommodate both humans and doggos. We will definitely be back! Owners were so lovely and we enjoyed both local pubs.
