Peaceful, secluded, amazing views!

Sweet wee cottage. Ruth was great - giving us lots of options of places to visit and going out of her way to make our stay comfortable. The roads are newly sealed so only the occasional pothole. Lots of personal touches. The breakfast and snack basket was very impressive! If you are looking for a cosy, peaceful and isolated spot to stay with incredible views you won’t be disappointed.

Would book again without hesitation.

Ruth was an excellent and friendly host and thought of all the little things which make a stay comfortable. She went out of her way to accommodate us for an early arrival and we were delighted with the snack hamper and tunnocks on arrival. The view and serenity of the location are both hard to beat. The space itself is small but comfortable and nicely furnished. We did have an issue with an expiring smoke alarm but Ruth was very responsive and over within 2 mins of messaging her to help sort it out. Love this area and would highly recommend staying with Ruth!

Sublime and memorable.

Charming and cosy studio apartment opposite a stunning view of the Loch Siapan across to the Sleat peninsular. A very secluded and quiet environment with no through traffic. Ruth, our brilliant host, had provided us with everything we needed including an array of lovely food, conversation and information. So many personal touched that made our stay special including popcorn with the DVD selection.

Satisfactory - yet underwhelming which was probably or own fault!

It is a beautiful quaint property in quite a remote part of the Isle of Skye. I think if we had more time we could have enjoyed it more but getting there took longer than we planned. We admire the way the owners/ “Ruth” prepared the property and added the shopping for breakfast etc- very nice touch but normally for this price you get hotels or BnB’s making the breakfast for you. Anyway my wife loved the peace, sanctity and beauty of the surrounds!

A great place off the beaten track

The location was exceptional- fabulous drive to it and view when we got there. Off the beaten track. A lovely selection of food supplies left for us, including fresh local eggs. Lovely host

I’d forgotten that there was no hob, and I’d planned to do pasta. I was fine though cooking it in the microwave. It would be useful to have a bigger bowl to cook things like that in.

Wonderful off grid escape with incredible hospitality

Extremely comfortable place, is amazing to get off grid for a few days. Ruth’s hospitality was amazing. The little details were so lovely, from fresh cut flowers and popcorn alongside the DVD collection. Ruth left us so much breakfast and was so kind to stop in and check if we needed anything.

We slightly struggled with the food options, as a lot of the recommended places to eat were only open once a week (not during our stay) and there is only a microwave and toaster, but this is no reflection on the place itself as it is perfect to get off grid.

The localisation is amazing, in a quiet area. The view from the window is astonishing. Everything was clean and tidy and Ruth was a very nice host, always keen to help us if we need anything. We also appreciated the food and drinks let there for us.

A beautiful Warm and peaceful getaway on Skye

We loved the location, the comfort, the warmth, the facilities and The host. The suite is perfect to get away from it all and relax with terrific privacy. The host is a beautiful person who went above and beyond to provide us with every comfort we could need and truly spoiled us with a wonderful breakfast hamper also. Oh and the bed is super comfy! We had an unforgettable stay at this super cozy place on Isle of Skye right next to the Spar Cave. Ruth is a lovely host who provided us with a breakfast package as well as useful tips for our day trips. We are highly recommending her appartment and will for sure come back.

The location is very special in a wonderful location on Skye with fabulous views. The apartment was very well decorated and fitted out with a very comfortable bed. Ruth was a very friendly and welcoming host. A very comprehensive breakfast basket was provided.

A great place to enjoy the quiet of Skye

Wonderful studio overlooking the water on the John Muir Trail. The studio was newly remodeled and our host Ruth had provided a great selection of local food for breakfast. I would highly recommend this studio for a getaway or a home base to explore the rest of the island.

Von der Haupstrauße aus fährt man ca 30-40 Minuten eine single track road, was sich ganz schön zieht und auch Nerven kosten kann - Küche verfügt über wenig Ausstattung, man kann dort nicht selber kochen nur etwas in der Mikrowelle warm machen - Unterkunft ist klein und recht beengt. Wird dem Wort "Suite" absolut nicht gerecht

Können wir nur empfehlen.

Bei unserer Ankunft fanden wir einen außergewöhnlich umfangreich bestückten Begrüßungskorb mit Lebensmitteln vor. Das Haus ist klein aber ausgesprochen liebevoll und vollständig ausgestattet. Die Anfahrt ist durchaus herausfordernd, da 15 Meilen auf einer "single track road" absolviert werden müssen. Dafür wird man mit tollen Ausblicken und Natur pur belohnt. Vom Ferienhaus aus hat man einen grandiosen Ausblick aufs Wasser und die beindruckende Bergwelt.

Fantástico

Una cabaña encantadora en Elgol cuya dueña Ruth nos dio una cálida bienvenida. La cabaña es muy acogedora con vistas al Loch Slapin. Ruth cuida de todos los detalles. Hay mucho amor en la forma como ha decorado el lugar. Tiene absolutamente todo lo necesario. Nos dejó una canasta con provisiones para el desayuno con una nota muy amorosa. Lo que deben tener en cuenta es que Elgol queda en el sur de la isla de skye y es un lugar bastante alejado de todo. El viaje a Nest Point nos llevó 2 horas en auto. A nosotros no nos importó porque disfrutamos muchísimo del paisaje tan impresionante que tiene la isla. Es un lugar mágico y fue lo mejor de nuestro viaje por escocia.

Una sugerencia es el cambio de toallas diario y que la bañera tenga una barra de agarre para mayor seguridad pero son cosas menores que en nada afectan a la estadía
