Varenna La Bomboniera

The property itself was absolutely stunning, the price we paid was well worth it. The views that we got from the property were stunning and probably worth all the money we paid for themselves. The people who own and take care of the property are the most kind and caring people around, they were absolutely wonderful and made sure we had the comfiest of stays! The walk to Varenna is gorgeous and well worth the walk, it does not take long whatsoever.

There is nothing to dislike about this property.

Leider war die Unterkunft aufgrund der letzten Regenfälle sehr klamm, was nur mit der E-Heizung behoben werden konnte. Hier hatte sich dann das nächste Problem ergeben, denn die Sicherungen sind derart schwach ausgelegt, dass bei der Nutzung eines weiteren Hochleistungsstromgerätes die Sicherungen raus flogen und wir eine Nacht komplett ohne Strom waren. Zum Glück war der "Verwalter" vor Ort und konnte alles wieder richten. Auf die Antwort der sofort verschickten Nachricht an die Agentur warten wir leider immer noch und wurden auch bei der Schlüsselabgabe nicht darauf angesprochen. Insgesamt dürfte die Ausstattung (Geschirr, Besteck, etc.) komplett erneuert werden. Momentan wirkt sie zusammengestückelt und ist nicht vollständig.

difficult uphill walk over the lawn to access the house - no path. travel company staff not very willing to be helpful and key access difficult. had to go to their office in town to get keys and return there afterwards. difficult without a car.
