My wife and I loved the apartment. Incredible views from the balcony, very clean, plenty of room and all new appliances and amenities that any family would need. The host Viviana went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to have a lovely stay plus transportation to and from the train station which we were grateful for.
Via Pino is in a nice area but getting into Varenna center by foot on consecutive days to catch a ferry was a bit more challenging than we anticipated. There was no other feasible or timely option for transportation into Varenna other than catch a cab for 20 euros each way.

House was perfectly clean, great set up with everything you need, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The area is great and close walk to varenna (20 mins). Host was incredibly helpful as well.

The view was absolutely beautiful from the deck.
The hostess was extremely helpful and very sweet. She and her husband had renovated the apartment and had taken a lot of pride in it. It was very comfortable. Varenna was a beautiful town and we’re glad we stayed there. Nice having two bathrooms and one on each level. There was a restaurant right down the road that was phenomenal. Family owned and worked and you could tell!
Didn’t like is probably the wrong wording… The parking was a little bit of a challenge, but the hosts did everything to make that manageable. Also, I not a negative for us, but the extra bedroom is a loft that is right above the master. Accessible from stairs within the same room. would be OK for kids, but maybe not for an additional couple. Also, the deck is off the master bathroom. Not negatives but just be aware. Positives greatly off set these things.
