The view from the large terrace is stunning- difficult to tear yourself away. The walk to Varenna and the ferries is a pleasant and easy 40 minutes. The apartment is very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen.

Nearby parking may not always be available and you do need a car to get to the property as the station would not be an easy journey with luggage. Shame the shower is small.

The view is stunning. The outside seating is the saving grace. Wonderful for breakfast and an evening drink. Utensil wise it’s a well equipped kitchen. Parking is free IF you can find a bay. If you prefer a quieter neighbourhood Fiumelatte is ideal, as it’s close to Varenna but without the chaos of tourists. It is a hot walk into Varenna with a number of steps! But pleasant enough in the morning when the sun is still behind the mountains.

No air conditioning despite being advertised as having it. Windows open at night means you are woken by passing trains from 4.30am onwards. We had the last non resident parking space so in busier months there may not be one available nearby. Basics like toilet paper, salt, pepper, bin liners are not provided for your length of stay.

There was only one toilet roll for a 4-night stay. Additionally, there wasn't any capsules for the washing machine nor dishwasher.

Die Aussicht ist natürlich schön, genau wie auf den Bildern hat man einen tollen Blick über den See, es ist jedoch die Sonnenseite (Südwest) und damit zum Abend hin sehr warm. Die Wohnung ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet, die Betten sehr bequem. Fliegengitter sind in den Fenstern vorhanden, obwohl es uns im Vorfeld anders und damit falsch mitgeteilt wurde. Zum Glück hielt sich jedoch die Mückenbelastung in Grenzen.

Leider überwiegen die negativen Seiten. Die Klimaanlage fiel mehrfach aus, auch wenn am Folgetag repariert wurde, hieß es bis dahin, schwitzen (Außentemperatur 35 Grad). Mit Klimaanlage war es dann gut in der Wohnung auszuhalten. Die Lage ist zwar ruhig, aber auch sehr abgelegen, es gibt nichts, wirklich nichts fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir waren zum Glück mit Auto unterwegs, manchmal gibt es Schwierigkeiten, einen Parkplatz in der Nähe zu bekommen. Es wäre schön, wenn ein eigener Parkplatz zur Wohnung dazu gehören würde. Das Balkongestühl war leider sehr unbequem. Wenn auch stylisch, konnte man sehr schlecht darauf sitzen. Die Liegestühle sind nicht mehr die, wie auf dem Bild zu sehen, leider, auch nicht angenehm zum sitzen/liegen. Modern ist eben nicht immer gemütlich. Zum Teil fühlten wir uns von der Nachbarschaft gestört, die Terrasse lag zum Einfahrtstor hin und das ging manchmal ständig geräuschvoll auf und zu... Zuletzt gab es noch ein Missverständnis bezüglich der Kurtaxe, es wurde uns zuviel berechnet, auf die Rückzahlung von immerhin 26,00 Euro warteten wir vergebens.
