Great hotel in good location..staff are really friendly. Room is quiet. Staff manage to specially decorate the room with rose and towel swan to celebrate for our anniversary. Highly recommended

Stayed 4 nights at The West Hotel and Spa and loved being right in the middle of everything! The location is perfect—the front doors open directly into the weekend night market, Hoan Kiem Lake is an easy walk, and plenty of famous food spots and rooftop cafes are right around the corner. Grab rides to St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the Temple of Literature were quick and convenient. The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast. Although it isn't a massive spread, the food was delicious and clearly prepared with passion! Room cleanliness was acceptable overall, but some appliances need replacing. Our kettle stopped working on night two and was replaced, though the new one left floating particles in the water even after several washes. We also noticed an exposed wire on the table lamp and rust on the bathroom towel rack. Aside from needing minor maintenance updates, this is still a good, convenient option for a stay in Hanoi! Oh and the staffs were extremely helpful and friendly!!

The West is on a street that closes from about 6.00 on weekend nights for a market. Really good stalls and variety. Locals cook foods and bring them in for selling, like donut balls, satays, fruits etc. Saying this, if you arrive to the hotel at this time you will be met by staff who will guide you and carry your bags. Only a short walk, but so interesting. The hotel is so quiet and clean, great breakfast and lovely staff. Located in a good part of the Old Quarter, it is in a great position. We loved our stay and highly recommend The West.

I’m quite happy with the hotel actually except for the extremely weak water flow. Staff - superb and they speak good English Location - right smack in the centre of all the action Room - despite being an older hotel, is quite roomy and clean Facilities - spa under renovation but I didn’t hear any construction work while I was there Breakfast - very small selection but the bread is decent. Shower - extremely weak water flow. Improvement is much needed.
