There are actually lots of excellent hotels in Hanoi and we have been lucky enough to stay in several of them, over the years but the Allure has to be our absolute favourite, after spending three nights here recently. The location is excellent, in the Old Quarter, close to all of the major attractions, including Hoan Kiem Lake but also within easy walking distance of the French Quarter, Long Bien Bridge and various museums. The hotel is actually quite close to Beer Street but despite this, it's a remarkably peaceful place, in a beautiful old French colonial style building. We stayed in an Executive Balcony room, which was superb, with great views over the city. We had two terraces, both of which were accessible and there was a table and chairs, so that you can sit outside and have a leisurely drink, watching life go by on the street below. The room was really large, basically a suite, airy, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, with all the usual amenities that one would expect with a hotel of this quality. The bathroom was also a really good size, with an excellent shower, with very good water pressure and instant hot water. Breakfast was included and like everything else was excellent, with lots of great choices and in a very nice dining area. Besides all of the qualities listed above, what really made this hotel stand out, however, was the quality of the staff and the little personal touches that the hotel offers, including a list of recommended local foods and eating places, which were not your typical tourist fare but restaurants frequented by local Vietnamese. The ones we tried were excellent and were thronged with locals. The staff were always very warm, smiling and friendly, checking that we were happy with everything and always making themselves available. They are a credit to the hotel. Given all of the above, one would expect this hotel to charge Hotel Metropole prices but happily for us (and you), it doesn't! Some great deals via the usual suspects and we will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Hanoi Allure Hotel! The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Old Quarter, with so many great restaurants, cafes and local food options just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive, and always made us feel very welcome. We really appreciated their warm hospitality and excellent service throughout our stay. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. We would definitely stay at Hanoi Allure Hotel again when we visit Hanoi!
