Miri house Desenzano del Garda

The location is absolutely fabulous, the centre of town is on the doorstep and it feels like a much more traditional Italian apartment. It was also so quiet and peaceful considering how close it was to all the action.

There were a few little issues with the bathroom but everything was sorted so quickly and Mirella organised repairs without any hesitation. The WiFi was quite patchy so would recommend coming with a good data allowance. 🙂 But overall very minimal disruption to our lovely stay here!

Ability to drop off luggage in advance of check-in time was very helpful. Communication with owner excellent, and supply of information on how to reach accommodation was perfect along with the location. Great to have a washing machine when travelling light.

Apartment is in a court-yard setting on first floor, the terrace is a walkway for the other apartments on that floor to get to the stairs of the pedestrian gate. It feels very public with a glass (has net covering) front door leading to the open plan sitting/kitchen area. Feel you have to keep the wooden shutters closed all the time otherwise you are on show, also to bathroom & bedroom. I like to see pillow & mattress protectors on beds under bedding. Metal bed frames are also noisy as could clearly heard from the apartment upstairs!

A cozy apartment in a traditional Italian building that made us feel like locals. It's just around the corner from a lovely square, the lake and the pier, near many restaurants and caffes, but yet very quite and intimate. The bathroom was very clean, with a very good shower and hot water. The apartment was very clean, with nice white sheets and fresh towels. The host is very nice and easy to talk to, she also left us tips and tricks for our visit. The kitchen seemed to be well equipped for a quick meal, although we never used it.

The bedroom has some small mold spots that made the air a bit stiffy.

1. The position was good. 2. Very clean.

1. The moka pot is just big enough for 1 cup. It was quite an effort to make 2nd cup with boiling hot moka pot. Got some burnt fingers. 2. A little bit of ground coffee and a half cup of sugar would have been appreciated. Had to go buy 1kg sugar for 4 teaspoons. 3. For the price per day, shampoo, conditioner & liquid body soap could have been supplied. 4. There is no parking in front of the building. But there is a parking lot around the corner. However, you need to pay. At busy times of the day, a parking bay is not always available.
