Wonderful spot to have a break and relax. Tucked in the forest with complete silence and peace. I stayed in the cabin and is great for one person (or two on separate beds). Feels awesome to wake up in the morning and open the door/roof to see the lake on the background while you make a coffee or to chill out in the tub with hot water while you watch the sunset. Having the fire lit by the staff was a great touch and also being able to use the shared kitchen was good (I just used the fridge for beer storage :P). In terms of confort, note that is a cabin in the forest, so don't expect luxury (that type of luxury): bed is close to the wall so you can feel the cold, the room is not sealed so you'll get tons of wind at night, a whole family of snails comes out every time you use the shower and you might have to deal with a funny bug, but if you're adventurous this place is perfect.

The "private" road to get to the villa is terrible, I almost slipped from the scooter two times; it should get maintenance from the 2-3 villas that share that road (this included); not for confort but for guest safety. There was a medium wasp nest inside the room so I was getting wasps inside all day. I understand that getting random bugs is normal due to the nature of the place, but having a nest (which wasps build over days) means that more attention should be put on having the place suitable for hosting people.

We loved everything about it! The surrounding area was stunning with a proper call to nature. Waking up with Mount Agung, Abang, and Batur in site was stunning. The hammock, the stillness and super clean and looked after.

The only thing is to bring earplugs… the locals at night (this was a Saturday) were doing karaoke till late. So wasn’t great for that. But everything else really was for the price you’re paying.
