I truly enjoyed my stay here. The place is beautiful and the rooms are lovely, but what made the experience special was the staff. They were so attentive and kind, always making sure I had everything I needed. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

These local cottages are very nice with its own bathrooms. Nice big bed. Alex who was in charge during the day was amazing to drive us where we wanted to go. He provided a guide for us for our nite hike to Mt.Batur for a great price and told us where is good restaurant. He made the stay easy and great. This accommodation is great for backpackers and locals.
It would be nice to have at least a fan in the cabin. The pool was so tiny ,more like a pond for fish. Also a lots of flies is everywhere around Mt. Batur and there was nothing against them.

Good location close to Mount Batur as well as hot springs and nice bungalows that are great value for money, but mainly the staff especially Liko who made not just my stay but my whole trip 100 x better. He was attentive and enthusiastic the whole time and would always say hi and stop for a chat. He was great in organising sunrise summits last minute and even waiting 30 min past when I was supposed to wake up for the hike at 3:30 am 😂

The small bungalows were very cute, and it was nice to have a mosquito net on the bed. The location is great if you want to hike on mount batur.
It was a bit too cold at night, an extra blanket would have been nice.

We had the absolute best stay there! We immediately felt welcomed by the amazing staff. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable, driving us where we needed (even at 3am for the hike) and always with the biggest smile. The rooms are comfortable and clean with an amazing view on the mountains. Quiet and peaceful. We also ate at the restaurant and everything was delicious. I truly recommend staying here if you come to hike the Batur or visit Kitamari and the lake! 💛

I spent one night in Kintamani and had a really great experience! The staff were super kind and helpful. While it’s not located in the city center, they have a kitchen and the food is really good. Breakfast is included too. If you’re looking for a more local and authentic experience, this is the place to stay. I didn’t hike Mount Batur because I was looking for something more relaxing, but if you’re interested, they can help organize it for you. Liko is the best! They have wifi!

There was a ceremony in town, therefore all the staff was not at the cottage except for Wang, who was our welcoming host, tour guide, chef, driver,... And we want to thank him for that. He was very helpfull and funny and really made our stay here a lot better! He cooked very tasting dinners and drove us around. He even drove us all the way to Sidemen because we couldn't find a Grab or taxidriver. Also the other People we saw we're all very nice and friendly.
There were a lot of bugs in our room (And i'm not talking about the Flies). Also the pictures make it look a lot better than the reality. The shower was not really convenient and didn't function well. But the biggest let down here was the town. There was absolutely nothing to do here. We wanted to fund a place where we could eat and drink something, but there was just nothing there. The surroundings are beautiful, but without transportation there, it is not really worth the visit.

The family running Pandok Bali Cottage are so helpful and nice. The arranged everything for us at fair prices, even got us a discount at the hot springs. Offered to drive us everywhere. The view of Agung and lake is awesome. Highly recommend!

Nice cute cottage in family run hotel. The food here is excellent, really delicious. Very friendly family.
The location is far from places so you need a vehicle to get around. Not the hotel’s fault, but we personally found people in Batur to be unwelcoming of tourists and trying to rip us off regularly.

Really nice place with great hosts. Brothers who are taking care of this place are really helpful and open for support in any different cases. They also share knowledge about the history and culture of this region. Nice bathroom with warm water, nice breakfast, clean room. They also organize very nice trips, eg. volcano hiking (better to ask for one of brothers to be a guide as they act as real guides).
An extension cord in the room could be helpful.

This place is fantastic, we were visiting from Australia and got to know the family running the cottages and they were very nice, helpful and friendly. It’s often the people you get to know who make a trip and these guys were awesome.
Gave us tonnes of recommendations, organised a tour guide for us to go up Mount Bathur, dropped us off at a number of spots and picked us up even though they weren’t obliged to. The food at the restaurant was simple, delicious food - they used the tomatoes, eggs and red onion that they farm in some dishes. Highly recommend the tofu/Tempe dishes, and the fried fish dish!
The cottages themselves were everything we hoped for, beautiful, clean, and had hot running water with a well powered shower head. All surrounded by beautiful mountainsides and farmland. The roads are a little rough getting there, but more than doable.
The tour guide they helped organise was great, you do require a tour guide to go up the mountain as it can be pretty gnarly at certain spots and from what I could see everyone had one, and the price they gave us was about as low as we’d seen.
Overall our favourite place to stay so far in our 2 week trip! Thanks guys for a great stay - all the best with everything :).
PS ask Wyan to play you a song on the guitar - he’s great!
We will have to come back when the pool is ready!

The hosts were amazing. A family owns the cottages and they go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. We booked a transfer to Ubud through them and they took us to a coffee plantation on the way
Rooms were spacious and comfortable
Location was a little bit off the beaten track however, the hosts offered to give us a lift to the lake so was not a problem

It's located in the quiet remote neighborhood. The room has this honeymoon vibe. It's not far from the starting point for hiking Mount Batur. A great place for escape from city and annoying boss.
Because the location is in a farm area, there are many flies during the day. Just make sure to always keep the door close tightly.

Very good location to stay if you want to hike up the mountain. Very warm welcome. The staff is friendly and can help you with transfers and a guide to hike up the mountain for correct prices. The bed was very comfortable. Its a cozy place overall. The food was very tasty.
The shower didnt really work well. There were so many flies, according to the staff it was because of the onion plantations, this was very annoying. The staff are very friendly, but it can be quit difficult to communicate due to their lack of english.

Radia & Merit could not have been more helpful. They arranged all our trips - sunrise climb up Mt Batur with Pasura- excellent. Radia drove us everywhere free of charge- coffe shop, lake & hot springs.
Merits cooking was delicious- fresh grilled fish at night.
Room spotless. Hot shower.

The breakfast was ok but because we had it outdoor, there were lots of annoying flies. Like really a lot of them.
The cleanliness. Though the price not too expensive but after a long ride we do need a good sleep. And I don't know what was on the back part of the room but I can smell something not nice maybe it was animal's waste.

Radia & team they are just wonderful! Great company! They serve food and juice. Even if it's very simple and Indonesian style it is very good. There are many locals that come to eat/drink there so you have the chance to exchange with them, know about their culture. The cottage Is very cute and clean. If needed you can ask the host and they will arrange you the transport as it is a bit difficult to get there without motorbike or taxi. 2 min walk there is an amazing view. You can also ask them and they can take you to a 20mjn sunset trekking with amazing view. Otherwise they also organize the regular mount batur sunrise tour with three options ( short, medium and long). It was great I took the long one around the crater and walking on the lava sand.
I didn't like I had to leave as I had booked in another cottage more "fancy". I didn't like it (infinity pool was not available..wifi didn't work for several hours, hit water lasted 4 min, they were not able to make juice, they were polite but not helpful.....while the hospitality of Pondok Bali Cottage was the best!! Just bare in mind that in this region both accomodations are far from restaurants etc..but the difference is that Radia can drive you where ever you need.
