The Panorama Batur Camp

The view (seeing Mount Batur from your bed is cool), the location (it is close to many great spots that are in walking distance -- for example the museum, an all you can eat buffet is near by with a great view, and a gym. Also, right across the entrance is a convenience store and warungs.), the bed feels comfy. Their hospitality. Their fried rice.

I am nit picking. I am not bothered at all. I came during the rainy season. I generally dont like eating where I sleep. Luckily, they have this desk right across your tent. Unfortunately, they dont have some sort of shield or structure to stop the rain from falling onto the desk ( I understood that a structure might ruin the view). If there is a holder to attach the big umbrella that was given, -- it was probably meant for going to the washroom -- then during the rain, it could provide protection when you want to use the desk and it can be removed when the desk is not needed -- providing a better view from your bed.

The couple who hosts this place are very lovely and accommodating. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. We even had a small bonfire, and they kindly assisted us in arranging it and helped us find a tour. Such a warm and helpful experience — highly recommended!

The bathrooms are shared and outside. Much better to upgrade like we did, and got the room with the bathroom which was more convenient

We didn’t like the entrance to the property where there are dogs and chickens together in cages 😢

The location is great, facing the caldeira and Batur vulcano. Nice tent protected by a bamboo roof

The terrace is made with bamboos, some of the bamboos are broken and need to be replaced. Every time, there is someone walking, it's noisy. Important, there is only a small parking for scooters and you need to walk around 200 m on a little path to access the campsite.
