Loved the view and spacious accommodation

Hard to arrive by train and get into and from town due to limited availability of taxi drivers during our stay. It needs at least full length mirror.

Great location. View was beautiful. Had AC a plus for us. Easy access to building. Nice terrace. Restaurant next door was very good.

We could not get the washer to work. It might have been our lack of knowledge of Italian appliance technology.

I liked the layout of the house, and the AC was really helpful. It was nice to get Netflix as well :) , that was rare in the places we stayed. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to cook for ourselves as much as we wanted. The restaurant next door is incredible. One of the top 3 meals we had in our 10 days on Lake Como. That one meal almost offset some of difficulties we had. Almost.

Compared to the other places we stayed, communication with guests could have been better. The parking arrangement was actually somewhat challenging and getting information required multiple messages back and forth. We had to figure all of that ourselves. Like, now I am a Disco Orario expert. He was kind of gruff when it came to answering questions about how to use the washing machine. ** A simple house book would have solved all of this for both guest and host. ** The terrace was truly the big draw but there were two issues with it. First, it wasn't well maintained or cleaned. The tiles were dirty - we cleaned them ourselves with multiple buckets of water. The hose wouldn't work - it had holes in it. The umbrella was broken and not usable. Second, there is so much loud traffic that you really don't want to sit out there except for early in the morning before all the cars wake up. So you find yourself sitting inside with the windows shut or trying to block out the traffic noise. Those scooters are loud. Finally, there really isn't much nearby that is easy to get to without a car. Certainly you do not want to walk the 1.5 kilometers down the road, as the road is so narrow and trafficked that it doesn't feel safe or fun. And with a car, you have to deal with the 2-hour parking limits at the closest parking lot.
