Modern and Bright Studio in Central Sheffield

As the reviews are somewhat all over the place, we were actually quite pleased staying here in the end. We had Studio 2 for a week. It's on the ground floor and faces the inner courtyard (as does Studio 1), so it was quiet and cool (Studios 3 and 4 face the street, the sun and the Cathedral). You do look up to other flats, but we just kept the blinds mostly drawn down. The space itself was actually larger that we had envisioned and reasonably well-equipped. Plus, there's a shared washer and dryer on the landings between floors. They're free to use, you just need your own detergent. Finally, the communication with the management company was excellent, and probably the biggest surprise of all!

The furnishings, fixtures and linens/towels are pretty low quality and well-worn. We actually flipped the mattress for a better sleep. Also, some of the photos are misleading, clearly showing a view that is not possible from the ground floor. (When we inquired, we were told all the flats available on this listing are on the ground floor).

Only issue we had was they hadn’t sent me my check in details even tho I had already checked in online and paid the £20 fee, I had to ring my property host to which she replied I hadn’t previously checked in.

Amazing location! Literally in the centre of the city.

It was dirty and very dusty. I also didn’t like that there was no iron or hairdryer provided. I was told that this was mentioned in the description and that I should have noticed it when booking, but there is always a lot of text, and things like a hairdryer and an iron usually feel like something that should be standard. I had an important meeting and had no way to iron my clothes. The view from the window was not great either — it was just facing neighbouring windows.
