Lovely Studio Apartment in Central Sheffield

The location was great, couldn't hear the loud cathedral bells that much despite being right in front of the cathedral Size of the studio was good, loads of storage, basic amenities met, coffee/tea facilities, toaster, fridge, oven, microwave, hob, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans Super clean, nice space, toiletries provided

Lots of stairs, no lift, access instructions not actually that clear to get keys Stayed 3 nights, towels were a bit crispy, needed a change, very begrudgingly given fresh towels day 2 Only 1 lumpy pillow each (towels used for extra), no iron options Thermostat didn't make the room cool for sleep, too noisy to leave window open at night Double bed at best, I think smaller, hard to sleep with another person Noise between rooms not great, loud TV and music at times, though the hotel have signs to keep noise down and you could report, not hotel level sound proofing Not great check in/out times - 10am and 3pm, host messages you a lot to sell extra bits of time late and early check in and out Not really a hotel when you have to sort your own rubbish and clean your own pots in my opinion but lesson learned

Location is very central - a few minutes walk from shops, tram links and the city centre. Room was warm and clean, kitchenette and en suite shower facilities were great. Good WiFi and tv facilities.

The mattress was very uncomfortable - you can feel all the springs in it, and it dipped and sagged as it’s been well used previously. Had to sleep on top of the duvet in order to get any comfortable sleep! It really needs replacing. If you are on the top floor like us there is no lift, and three flights of stairs. Fine for us but not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Some occupants kept leaving the front door wide open which didn’t feel secure when returning late at night.

It’s a great spot if you’re in the city for the weekend.

Heating was constantly on - but rectified by opening the window.

Central location and property was clean.

Never before been bombarded with lists of so many house rules. Sent multiple times in advance, displayed all over the property. Listing said you could put a damage deposit down on arrival. This is wrong you will be bombarded in advance to pay the £100 deposit several days before or threatened with cancellation of your booking. Room is on the ground floor and with a large window which is right on the pavement outside so constantly has people walking past, there are no curtains only flimsy vertical blinds that block out very little light and have to be kept closed otherwise people are constantly peering in.
