Six star experience

Six stars We were a bit hesitant before our arrival. The pictures looked a bit sterile and unpersonal. We opted for the apartment due to the location. And boy what a good location it was. 3 minutes walk to the lake and the ferries to the Borromean islands. And the main restaurant square even closer. But the big surprise was how nice the apartment was. A very nice terrace with a “cabrio-roof”. All the furniture were spotless and comfortable. Very nice beds. We were travelling with our teenage daughters and they loved the bunkbedroom, which is much larger than pictured and has more of a design feel than “bunkbed”. Eventhough the location was very central there were no disturbing noice. A free public parking just next door was very convenient. (Not available on Thursdays, when the parking turns into a local market). So all in all it was a five star experience. It was after our departure it earned its´s sixth star. We had continued our Italian roadtrip. This time to a place 200 km away from Stresa. Once there I discovered that I had forgotten all my shirts in the wardrobe at Casa David. A potential disaster. I called Casa David and they went up to the apartment, got all my shirts, and sent them by UPS to our new location. I had them the next day. This is really a fantastic service and an example of great hospitality that I will remember for a long time.

Very Comfortable

The apartment was spacious clean and cool in the hot weather. We were able to enter as soon as we arrived which was great after a long hot journey. The location is very close to the centre yet very quiet. It is a short walk to the boats and a supermarket. A very easy-to-use laundromat is just around the corner. There is a large clothes horse to dry clothes on the patio and also the best iron and ironing board of the whole trip. The beds, including the single bunk beds, were very comfortable.

To make a great stay even better perhaps shampoo could have been provided.

Charming, modern apartment in the middle of a quaint village along Lake Maggiore.

Fantastic location in the heart of Stresa. The owners, Maria and David, were very accommodating and helpful. The apt was very clean and perfect for a family of four (2 young adult children) and pin drop quiet. We would not hesitate to return.

Schöne Wohnung in zentraler Lage

Die Wohnung ist sehr schick und modern eingerichtet. Das Esszimmer ist auf einer Terrasse/Loggia, deren Dach und man öffnen oder schließen kann. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und als es ein Problem im Bad gab, hat er sich sofort darum gekümmert und war eine Stunde später da. Die Lage mitten in der Stadt ist toll und es ist trotzdem ruhig. Der nächste Supermarkt ist nur 50 m entfernt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Een mooi appartement voorzien van alle nodige faciliteiten. Een uitstekende locatie in het centrum van Stresa. Een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

De ontvangst door de host. We kregen op voorhand alle nodige informatie, doch het bezoek ter plaatse werd snel afgehaspeld.

Le samedi soir le bar la Boleria à quelques rues de là met la musique à fond jusqu’à minuit. Peut être que ce n’est que l’été….

Posizione in pieno centro, appartamento comodo e dotato di tutti i comfort. Bellissimo il terrazzino.

Migliorare la dotazione della cucina, non abbiamo trovato forbici e un canovaccio in più sarebbe stato gradito. Suggerisco anche di lasciare istruzioni per l'utilizzo della TV.

Appartamento ampio e nuovo, ben arredato. Posizione centrale.

Mi è piaciuto tutto, ma alcuni piccoli suggerimenti li potrei dare: elettrificare la finestra del bagno che è irraggiungibile, e mettere un appendiabiti all’ingresso.

Appartamento ristrutturato benissimo con tanto stile. Total white. Davvero top. Camere molto ampie e soggiorno con cucina impeccabile. Completo di tutti i confort.

Se devo trovare un neo il vano scale trasuda storicità. Ma va bene così.
