I liked pretty much everything. Francesco is very uncomlicated and friendly. The location of the apartment is perfect! Should I happen to come to Stresa again, he will be first choice.

The only problem was that the kitchen is a bit small.

Nel Cuore di Stresa is overlooking the busy square Cardona. However, once the windows and doors are locked, you can hardly hear anything. In the studio flat we were in, we enjoyed a balcony that opens onto the square. We were lucky to be entertained with a band and a firework display in the distance on the day we arrived. The flat is well-equipped and furnished with taste. It took some time for the air conditioning unit to reduce the heat, but once done, it kept the place cool. It’s 5 minutes away from the port where you can easily get tickets to the Borromean Islands and other curiosities around the lake. Although there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, there is also a Carrefour Market within walking distance (5 minutes). The access to the studio flat is via a small wooden staircase, which may prove an issue for people with reduced mobility or travelling with heavy luggage.
