Quirky and homely, plus fab location. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful too without being intrusive. Log burner really makes the place cosy.

Lovely quirky horsebox in an ideal location for Lake District walks. The horsebox had everything I needed for a few nights away, and the bed was super comfy! The log burner was lit before I arrived so it was nice and warm, and the tea and milk (etc) were very welcome after a long drive. The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to help. Will definitely be returning.

We had everything we needed and as we were late arriving the owner had even lit the log burner for us. So thoughtful.

Great localised in quiet area with view to fields, horses and sheeps. Good equipment all around. Very smart idea to transform horse box into holiday accommodation.
Light in the kitchen area could be a bit stronger and I would change heating for electric , but that's only small things. Overal great place to stay .

Views & location.
Place is looking pretty tired and needs a lick of paint and a clean. The outside patio requires cleaning/brushing up. The chairs on it were wet & mouldy, certainly nothing like the photos showing the rattan ones. Beds comfy but top bunk requires a fair bit of agility to get into. Kitchen pretty basic but functional, can’t believe there wasn’t any wine glasses. Was just the two of us and the hound, no idea how three or four people could stay there.

The location is great with lovely countryside views. The property and surrounding gardens are beautiful. The horsebox itself is rather compact but practically laid out and well equipped with all you need. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The place and surrounding gardens were great for our two little kids as well.
Could have been a touch cleaner, there were a few cobwebs and dead insects here and there.

The owners of the horse box are absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough. The horse box itself was a brilliant and quirky place to stay and so peaceful. The 2 double bunks were very comfy and we all slept great. I was worried the bathroom would be too small but it is designed perfectly with a good shower.
Our favourite part of the whole stay was just how welcome children are there. I went with my friend and 5 children in total and they had the best time. We didn't have to worry about them disturbing anyone else and there was so much for them to do outdoors.
Nothing at all! We loved our stay.

The idea of it was exciting, something different & quirky.
The views were amazing. The hammock to enjoy the rolling country side & kids toys outside were a great addition.
The pictures on here were clearly from when it was 1st converted as we were met with something quite different & a host that didn’t give us her name, just quickly showed us round and off, didn’t see them again. It desperately needs a good lick of paint, repairs & a bloody good deep clean.
Sheer laziness to be honest & for £277 for 2 nights not worth it at all, was a let down. Everything just old & tired & needing attention.
The shower stunk, and I took food so me & my kids didn’t have to leave site but were met with a dodgy halogen oven that didn’t stay on, text the owner who was on there way to Hull & that was the end of that help, she did send me a pic yesterday when I was at home trying to prove it worked but it didn’t, I tried for an hour and have used a halogen oven before, it was faulty and left us with no cooking device accept 2 hobs. This is just a cash taker for them they’ve clearly lost interest in it. Disappointing for myself & kids

Dobbin is in a beautiful, quiet location and is absolutely delightful. Bigger than what I expected but, is a horsebox so compact and cosy. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into making this a comfortable and unique experience and it certainly didn't disappoint.
A short drive to so many beautiful local attractions that it was a very convenient place to stay.
We had the pleasure of meeting both of the owners and they were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
Pets also very welcome so it was perfect for us.
We had a lovely stay.

Nice and quirky ideal for a couple of nights away
It was a shame it was located in the shady parts of the garden, not a huge issue as we could move around.

Lovely location, good that it’s dog friendly, homely feeling, everything you needed in a small space
Small beds length wise (5ft 7 maybe?) & it was cold until you got the fire going

Very quirky and the setting was brilliant. Kitted really well for young children. Everything was there what was needed, and the host was very friendly on our arrival. Great location for 30 min drive to Buttermer (western fells) also Keswick 30min. Obviously Cockermouth is a 5min shorter drive too.
Sleeping situation was a little tight, and claustrophobic We also had 2 small dogs with us which made it even tighter, but our own fault.

The fire was roaring when we arrived so it was lovely and warm. There was everything and more in a horse box, I didn’t realise you could fit so much in. We’ve had a lovely weekend.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Nice location with rural views and easy access by car to Cockermouth. Pub about 45 mins walk down some quiet lanes. Character
The bed was a bit short and the upper bunk not that easy to access- would be fine for children. Property was a bit tired and the rear garden fencing could have been better for dogs as there was a field with sheep behind.

In an amazing part of Cumbria - the views are gorgeous and you can watch the sunrise from the terrace . Easy access to some gorgeous walks with the dog . We throughly enjoyed our weekend and feel so chilled . The hosts are genuinely lovely people who couldn’t do enough ! We looked at a review prior to coming and were a bit apprehensive but obviously some people are just up their own !!!! s as we couldn’t have had a better weekend !

Beautiful views, animals, log burner, outdoor space, left to own devices.
Needed a wipe around with anti bac wipes when we arrived, smell from drains.

What a lovely unique experience. From the beginning there was great communication and mind put at rest with questions. The facilities are so handy and made to feel very welcome. Would definitely do it again. Thank you 😊

A really lovely, quiet retreat. I had an amazing time, an opportunity to unplug and just relax.
The location is good, only 10mins from Cockermouth to pick up supplies, etc.
I couldn't really fault it for me staying there alone.
