The location is fabulous. Centre of the town.
Cottage is cosy and well equipped and we made good use of the log burner.
Bed was so comfy and huge.
Highly recommend a visit.
The shower could have been warmer but that was only a small issue.

In the town centre, a comfortable cottage with parking space.
Very cold when we first arrived. It took several hours for the heating to warm the place up. Right next to a carpark which was not too much of a problem in winter as it was fairly quiet.

Very well located to the high street - good kitchen and very large bedroom with a large comfy bed plus nice quality linen.
Parking is a little tight but manageable with some practice

From start to finish, our stay at Albion Cottage was fantastic. The host, Jonathan was comunicative, and responsibe, provided clear check-in instructions well in advance. They genuinely care about their guests' experience. The apartment itself was spotless. The photos accurately represent the space. We especially appreciated the wifi, comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. It felt like a home away from home. The location is also perfect, closer to Sainsbury's and shops for any quick bites.
Nothing. But just for the sake of filling this, parking is bit tighter if you have a bigger car.

Nice little cottage for our 3 night weekend stay. Near pub, restaurants, shops and bus stop. Easy to get to nearby towns and villages by bus, or car. Nice walks nearby. Thanks for the wine and milk.
Extra towel rail in bathroom would be useful.

Location was brilliant. Cottage was cosy and well equipped, we appreciated all the utensils and crockery as well as the helpful tips on where to eat.
The sheet kept coming off the mattress, a clothes airer would have been great.

The location was fab. So close to the centre and all the shops and cafes.
Lovely and clean and had everything you need.
Had a bit of difficulty with the key safe but got there in the end. The garden area was shared and the dog escaped a couple of times until I barricaded him in 😂. There is seating but a bit old and table doesn't have a top

Very straightforward instructions and enjoyed contactless key pickup after our long journey. Property was exactly as described and in the perfect location for exploring Cockermouth, the northern lakes, and generally relaxing. Was well provisioned for self-catering (including dishwasher!) and building was nice and clean throughout. Parking right next to the property (via public car park) was also very handy and took the stress out of finding somewhere central to park. A wonderful base for our latest trip to the Lakes. Will definitely be back again!

The location of the property was brilliant as it was right in the town centre so easy to get to everything. Although it was next to a public car park it had its own private parking space. Unfortunately we were unable to park in this as another resident had done so and we had to pay for parking. However the host heard about this from their cleaner and have now refunded us what we paid. Considering they offered this with no prompting from us we were extremely impressed with this. Upon arrival they had also provided a bottle of wine and provided milk in the fridge
Unfortunately the curtains in the bedroom are light and as we went in summer we were woken with the dawn every morning. We also had a storm one night and as there are 2 skylights upstairs we could not sleep due to the rain making such a racket on the skylight. There are square holes in the bedroom and bathroom walls so this may be able to be reduced by putting up dark curtains on these and the bedroom window possibly?

Right in the centre of town but in a quiet location. Great kitchen facilities and a big comfy bed. The hosts were very helpful and always quick to respond. I'd definitely stay there again! The host left us a bottle of milk in the fridge and a welcome bottle of wine which was a nice touch.
The cottage just needs a few touch ups and some minor repairs from wear and tear. But nothing major.

This places is wonderful, great location, dog friendly, nice little patio to sit out in the sun with. Close to the beach and other amazing walks
The cottage is cosy and clean
The host gave lots of recommendations and there are plenty of coffee shops and food places about to enjoy!
If you do have a dog, there is a dog in the next house beside the cottage, it will bark when it sees humans come close to the gate, but very friendly. Only reason I say is cause when their dog started barking, so did mine

It was clean and had a good balance of classic and modern qualities. It would warm up fast and was very quiet even though you are in the middle of the market.
The duvet was quite heavy for time of year but that’s just personal preference.

I went for a walking weekend to tick off some wainwrights - very close to buttermere and crummock water and Keswick
Great location in Cockermouth with everything on your doorstep, so many good bars and restaurants within walking distance
Felt like a little home from home - will definitely go back again
Had one small problem when I got there that the post code on booking.com sent me to the street next door so called the guy and he was helpful to give me the right location.

Great location with shops and pubs on the doorstep without it being noisy. Bed was huge and super comfy. We loved having the log burner. The complimentary wine on arrival was a lovely welcome.
A cosy cottage, perfect for two.
We struggled to find the cottage on arrival as it is tucked away behind the main street. Perhaps sharing the what three words would help future guests find the exact location.

A more accurate description of how to access the property and parking information my be helpful we found the property by walking down initially as sat nav takes you up a different road otherwise perfect stay in a lovely spot

We loved everything!

Loved everything about Albion Cottage. We've stayed in 20 or so places during this holiday and this one ticks all the boxes. Open fire place, comfortable bed, hot/fast shower, well equipped kitchen, great location and parking. The list goes on. The bottle of wine helped too!
Haha, that we didn't have the time to stay for longer. It was such a great place to chill.

Good value for money! Very comfortable bed and great location!
Unfriendly check in time of 5pm! Non responsive host! No washing machine as mentioned in the description and workers outside the window all day while we were trying to relax!

The property was very clean and comfortable and the instructions provided were very clear and easy to follow. We felt very welcome and the suggestions for places to eat was a great addition.
Nothing.

Clean good location
A pint of milk in fridge and bottle of wine
Really terrific shower
Noisy at night
No tea or coffee or anything
Couldn’t open windows so very stuffy and hot
Couldn’t snuggle up together on sofa as each seat was for one person
Water went off for 8 hours and disappointed with response as we had to evacuate flat as no way to wash or drink or use toilet
Smoke alarm went off but the owners dad did come and climb up with a ladder to change battery but again we had to leave flat for prolonged time as noise was so annoying
No shower gel

Lovely cottage, kitchen was well stocked, bathroom and kitchen clean and modern, huge comfy bed, and great vanity table for getting ready! easy access to center of town and bus stop. Loved the complimentary wine and milk and welcome phone call from the host to explain how to use the heating! Perfect, cosy spot for a couple in town for a wedding.
More hooks/rack for towels would have been nice. Some noise from the bar and public car park nearby might be tough for some.

Plenty of bars and takeaways, lovely walks and parks
Price of bar food ,I thought £15 pounds was excessive for a burger meal.
7.0 / 10.0
Good location close to the centre of town.
Free parking.
The bed was large and comfy.
The kitchen was well equipped.
Could have been cleaner. Although we are dog owners ourselves, the rug and chair/sofa in the living room were dirty, stained, and smelt from pets staying at the property.
The only toiletries provided was some hand-wash in the bathroom.
Although the bathroom was relatively new and nicely fitted, there were no hooks/rails to hang towels and no toilet roll holder.
The TV was small. I'm not saying there needs to be a massive one, but even a 32/40 inch TV would be nicer to have.

The location was very close to town centre so shopping/getting about was easy. The host was very helpful and friendly
The property was very close to 2 pubs so it was noisy late into the night because of good weather. Satnav took us to a different location to where property was so directions would be useful ie go into the car park and the property is located at end of car park. The property is lovely inside but looks shabby from the outside, could do with the cottage and front door being repainted
7.0 / 10.0
Central location, quiet, comfortable and clean.
Washing machine broken, no instructions for oven and clock on heating control not working so couldn't pre set radiators.

the cottage was lovely and very clean, complementary bottle of wine tea and coffee and free milk for us which was a lovely gesture. just 1 street behind main high street but still very quite, high street was lovely with lots of shops and places to eat, bars and a one stop in case you forgot somethings. loads of nice places to walk the dog and just outside your door step. really nice place just to relax.
it was'nt a big issue but it would be more comfortable with a 3 seater sofa just so you could get more relaxed from a long day walking
