Lovely quiet site, great base to travel from and explore surrounding area. Super clean van, with lots of extras, dog treats, first aid kits, great selection of basic necessities (cooking accsessories, pans, trays, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, had soap). Stand up fan in twin room. Full sized fridge freezer. Welcome basket.

Fridge couldnt cope with temps over about 26. Was instruced to keep the fan on and facing it the whole time, and to keep all the doors and windows open. However the cable for the fan wasnt long enough to plug it into the nearest plug to the fridge. And kepping all doors and windows open not practical when youre only using the van as a base and are out from 10am - 8pm every day. The first 2 days the fridge wouldnt go below 11 and the freezer wouldnt go below - 8ish I found turning the temps down on both fridge and freezer to the maximum it would allow and then pressing the supper freeze button 1st thing in the morning, again when we got back from a day out, and a 3rd time before we went to bed helped keep the fridge and freezer near as possible to legal temperatures. Managed to keep the fridge at about 6 and the freezer between -16 and - 19 doing this. The fridge definatly needs maintainance, if not replacing.

Caravan was spotless,,no extra cleaning needed like I've had to do in the past in places I've stayed,,lovley fresh smell and warm on arrival, that made a huge difference to walk into the heat at this time of year, and very peaceful. Husband has alzhimers,,I have osteoarthritis and recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia, can't remember the last time we both slept so well.

The rain lol,,other than that can't think of anything that i could say i didn't like,,the only thing that i could say that I felt would be good is a door curtain,I know it's frosted glass and it's very probably a me thing but when it's dark it's nice to have the glass covered, but that's it..

Brilliant weekend break.Ideally situated for the western lakes. Very clean well equiped accomodation.First class communication with the hosts. A little gem of a find and highly reccomended. Nice friendly social club just over the road.A minute from the main A66 but in a well kept peaceful location.

Lovely stay could not ask for more it was perfect I hope we will be able to stay in the future.
