Spectacular view from the corner room on the 26th floor.

We stayed in a spectacular corner room on the west side of the building, offering a panoramic view of the entire city. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, the room itself is just wonderful. The atmosphere is simply breathtaking, especially, during a night, when you turn off the lights and open the curtains to watch the city lights. Highly recommended for a short escape from daily routine (as my wife and I did), but it would be perfect for a longer stay too. Fitness is professional gym level. Quite surprising.

Given the price, the impressive architecture, the quality of the rooms, and the cost of the breakfast itself, I expected a more diverse selection. The breakfast wasn't bad, but it was very ordinary, standard staples like eggs, bacon, cheese, and cold cuts. There were no premium items, which is what one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. This isn't a formal complaint, but rather an observation in case management reads this. The food was tasty, but I simply expected more from a hotel of this standard. The wellness area is fine, but far from great. The pool is okay, but the jacuzzi was a letdown, it was a bit too cold, quite small, and there is only one available. The curtains in such a spectacular room feel like an afterthought. They look cheap (actually, they don't just look it, they are cheap), and the rail mechanism is terrible, flimsy and very complicated to operate. For a room and hotel of this standard, the curtains should definitely be motorized. We didn't even use them because the view is amazing, but the manual setup really doesn't match the quality of the rest of the room.

Great view, exceptional staff

Location was nice and the view was pretty amazing but the star of the hotel is definitely a staff member named Frane. We came in late at night but he made sure we got a very smooth check-in and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. If I am ever in Split, I will choose this hotel knowing it has great staff such as Frane.

breakfast was great. slightly expensive. The town had to be accessed by Taxi, Ie Uber especially. Room service menu was good and friendly staff

Please avoid the local taxies. They are not consistent with the charges and can be extremely expensive even for short distances. Uber works best for airport and local transport

Great view and facility. Location is not in old town but very easy accessible by bus and good at avoiding the busy/noise in old town. Staff has been helpful too.

Comfortable stay in a modern contemporary design hotel

Eggs cooked in your presence to your choice instead of scrambled eggs standard in many hotels.

Great hotel.

Beautiful property with great views. I loved the sauna on the 17th floor with views over the whole city. Really high end luxury feel in the modern rooms. Was easy to nip in and out of the town with Uber

Only negative for me was breakfast which did not match the very high standards of the rest of the hotel. Buffet was cold, bacon very fatty, there was smoked salmon, just overall felt a bit disappointed by the breakfast -but the only concrete thing is the temperature.

Not so happy

Clean rooms

Check in took us around 25 minutes as the reception desk was manned by two or one person. There is no help with the luggage and it’s self service even for senior citizen. If you reach the hotel by self drive car there is absolutely no space to temporarily park in front or nearby.

Altogether we enjoyed very much, but actually didn’t spend much time in the hotel. We chose because of the swimming pool

Size of room and the view

Some slightly annoying things in the room. Chair is deep and needs a cushion. Small courtesy light for nighttime trips to bathroom would be useful. Lift offers the roof, but doesn’t tell us anything more about access. Spa doesn’t open until 8 am, which if you want to swim before doing day’s activity is a little late. Perhaps 7 or 7.30 would be useful.

May be great at lesser price

Very new property hence everything looks neat and clean. Decent rooms from rooms at higher floors. Got the room before the checkin time which is appreciable

At this high price I was expecting a bit more from a Marriott property. Very basic breakfast, nothing fancy. Rooftop can be skipped anytime, zero vibe zero views. Even after mentioning on booking that it was my birthday, nothing special was offered or done.

Mislead by the photo of outside space and promise of free airport transfer. If we had known these didn’t exist we would

Modern and nicely designed. Rooms were good.

Marketing photos show an outside space by the sea with sea beds. This doesn’t exist which is hugely misleading. When booking it shows free airport transfer but this is removed when you go to book. Area the hotel is in is very industrial. Breakfast at €23 per person is very expensive. Staff not interested when we raised these points. This is a business hotel and not really for leisure travellers.

Super hotel, pity about the location.

Hotel is over a mile from the centre of the old town. Takes a 25 minute walk or a €20+ taxi ride. Not great in 34 degrees. A great hotel, but we would not have chosen it if we had realised how far it was from the centre of Split. Very strange and fussy key security system in the lifts and room access.

Excellent quality all round

Excellent quality hotel, food and staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and very happy to stay again!

Only criticism possible (and that's searching for one!) is that the lift control via your room key-card did not always work or needed several attempts (plus no instructions probably did not help).

Quiet room, clean, cool temperature.

Elevators very slow and cramped. Restaurant and bar service was not great. Breakfast was not included which was not made clear, as we were told it would be included when checking in.

AC was not working both the days. We got fed up calling reception. And they kept saying it will get better. Bathroom door wasnt locking the whole time. It was super embarrassing and uncomfortable to use

In many ways, the hotel is a game-changer in Split. AC Hotel Split is the first hotel we can label as a purely business hotel in this coastal Croatian city. The number of successful Croatian companies headquartered in the skyscrapers and the location dictate the hotel’s function. The hotel boasts everything expected of a business hotel, including a healthy dose of prestige because of the companies operating in the towers. Architecturally, AC Hotel Split is charming, turning heads and invoking bypassers to picture its facade. The quality of the interior pieces and the ergonomics within the hotel are world-class. Yet, there are also construction drawbacks here and there. To summarise, AC Hotel Split is dissimilar from other hotels in Split, dominated by leisure hotels. It is not for everyone’s taste, but it is undoubtedly ideal for event organisers and business guests who waited long for such an option in Split. Once they improve the level of hotel service and implement a thought-out price differentiation, AC Hotel Split will see bright days. One of the hotel’s advantages is that the rooms are set on the upper floors. Guests can thus enjoy stunning views that show Split in a completely different light. A charming spa centre stretching on the 17th floor includes a boutique sauna centre adjoining a pool overlooking Split and a fitness centre.

The gastronomy does not meet the expectations of guests. We believe the hotel should improve the breakfast. In addition, the hotel could address the crowds with better spa management. The hotel should go the extra mile to improve this segment. In addition, the staff appeared somewhat disorganised, while the front cooking turned from a show to a long row of queuing guests. It is a shame the breakfast was disappointing, as cuisine often leaves a lasting final impression. The hotel will trail behind the competition with such a generic culinary offer.

Breakfast buffet was delicious, well organised and good variety for all customers.

Facilities listed were not available. The gym has not been constructed. The images require a disclaimer that they are not real photos. The swimming pool and spa are also not constructed. Staff unable to accomodate any consessions as the booking was made through booking.com. Staff also treat 'booking.com' customers differently. Distance from split town is too far. Be prepared for lots of ubers.

It was a memorable hotel stay.

I like the variety and quality of the breakfast. The room was clean and had a great outside view. The staff was very professional and kind. They listen to my concerns and addressed them immediately if they could do.

The glass wall of a shower booth was not effective for preventing the leakage of water outside the booth.

This hotel enhanced by stay in Split! By far the greatest AC by Marriott I’ve ever stayed at! Very friendly and professional staff. They gave me my room 1,5h before check-in time and offered me to check out later than normal if needed. Amazing room, but didn’t expect anything else from AC by Marriott. Nice spa floor with amazing view of the city and the sunset! Very convenient underground parking.

I liked everything but AC by Marriott should consider adding Nespresso machines in their rooms like other hotels.

Perfect!

What an amazing stay, we wanted to spend every minute at the hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfy, clean and have great views. The spa was great, spent a few hours there in the afternoon, evening and morning (although it can get busy)! Solid breakfast with delicious omelettes. The coffee could improve a bit but overall great. We also had dinner at their restaurant which was delicious and the menu had great options - not even that expensive for a (really good) hotel restaurant. We finished that night off at the cozy bar, where I recommend to order the Espresso martini. Lastly, the parking was convenient and the staff was lovely. Will definitely come back for my next Split stay.

Big no for the bed

Nice, clean, cozy feel interior hotel, no kids in the spa, beautiful welcome at the front desk, free upgrade of the room, rooms on the top floors, and beautiful view of the city.

Unfortunately, although a lovely hotel the bed for me was terrible and reason enough not to think about returning to this hotel ever. The linen was clean and nice but the mattress was too hard for me, could not sleep at all, and my partner as well. This is my experience and is a subjective opinion but I travel a lot and change beds often.
