About this apartment rental
Chez Rose is a beautiful 40 m² studio, in an outbuilding of a magnificent Bordeaux apartment (well separated), with a common entrance, located on the 2nd floor of a sumptuous 18th century stone building. In front of the "Fémina" theater, a few steps away from the Sainte Catherine street, all the shops, restaurants and the tramway.
Thanks to its incredible location, you will be in the heart of Bordeaux. This apartment offers you all the comfort, mixing modernity and charm of the old, for an exceptional stay in Bordeaux. At the foot of the Porte Dijeaux street, Place Gambetta, 100 m from the Opera and Sainte Catherine street. It has a double bed and can accommodate two travelers very comfortably.
Accommodation:
Very well equipped, Chez Rose is located on the 2nd floor, accessible by a staircase. You will enjoy all the comfort for an unforgettable stay. This studio offers the following services:
- A nice living room with a double bed, a screen plan and a superb height under ceiling.
- A small open kitchen, with a refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and many kitchen utensils. Please note that there is no cooking plate.
- A very nice and spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet.
For your comfort, you will also have at your disposal, an iron and its table.
Quality sheets, towels and tea towels as well as some coffee capsules are provided and your bed is made upon your arrival.
A 4G box is provided.
Parking advice:
Paying public parking "Les Grands Hommes" or "Saint Christoly" at 200 meters.
The "Grand Théatre" tramway stop is 100 meters away.
A little history:
The Femina Theatre in Bordeaux was founded by Bonneterre and Ulysse Sédard, umbrella manufacturer and director of the Arcachon Casino, who turned it into a showroom and music hall, just like the Alhambra Theatre in Bordeaux.
Transformed into a movie theater in June 1930 by Pathé-Natan, this place remained like that for nearly 50 years, then became again in 1977 thanks to an agreement with the City of Bordeaux, an auditorium where theater, operetta, comedy, dance, classical music and variety shows are played.
The ceiling features a dome painted by Gustave Larée representing the apotheosis of Pierrot, dance and modern music. With its mix of Louis XVI style and Art Deco reminiscences, the Théâtre Femina is still one of the last examples of sumptuous decorations.
This historical richness makes the Femina Theatre a place where the most talented French and international artists perform.

Chez ROSE Great little apartment. Perfect location, 5min walk to tram. No air conditioning or fan in the apartment so it got quite warm. Door to the apartment doesn’t have a lock on it. Host was very responsive and great to deal with

Chez ROSE "The place is absolutely great, in an old building beautifully decorated. Only downside was that the WiFi wasn't working unless, as showed by the owner, you open the window and use it while staying there, anywhere else in the room wasn't picking up. Someone from the agency was supposed to meet us in front of the building to check-in but no one came, I tried calling the agency but there was no response until the next day. I had to call one of their agents of which I had the number by pure chance. Apparently the owner wanted to check us in and was waiting for us to ring the bell. The owner only speaks French so if you want clear instructions make a request for someone that speaks English to come show you around.
Overall the stay was good but the check-in and agency side of things was lacking communication."
