Folly View - Settle

Great location with free parking permit for car park 5 mins walk. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Lots of walks from Settle. Lovely cottage nice modern decor with all you need for a break. Ideal for 2 people might be cramped for 4.

Only minor things. Shower rather temperamental and grab rail and/or shower mat needed as gets slippy. Night light in lounge rather than having to leave light on to see to get to bathroom. We used lamp from bedroom.

The location for walks and local hospitality was perfect. As was the free child cage provided. Perfect for when we wanted to go our for the evening. See attached photo 😅

Crockery could do with a refresh

Excellent location in centre of Settle, yet surprisingly quiet. The permit for the nearby car park was a welcome bonus. This ground floor flat, was clean, attractively furnished and decorated in modern style with a new appearance. Perhaps a fairly new let? Lovely comfortable big bed, instant hot water, and good kitchen utensils and crockery and glasses. We’ve never stayed anywhere with a raspberry coloured fridge before! Settle is a big walking and tourist centre, with plenty of places to eat and drink. Excellent Booths supermarket on the edge of town, as well as several minimarts, etc. Also has a nearby station on the Settle-Carlisle railway line.

Being on the ground floor in busy surroundings we needed the blinds at least half drawn for privacy all the time ok for a 2 night stay in mainly gloomy weather, but would probably have felt restricted for a longer visit.

Central location.
