Perfect stay

I loved the location, the log burner was perfect and kept the room/ house nice and warm. Plenty of shops nearby that were handy

There wasn’t enough wood in the bucket so I had to go buy 3 bags from the nearest shops. The upstairs neighbours were quite noisy it got annoying. There wasn’t much car parking outside but if you arrive at a good time there’s a chance you’d get a space

Cosy and welcoming

Really enjoyed out stay here, the location was very handy and also convenient, loved the log fire and was a nice add on having fresh logs and kindling ready for us

Lovely cottage

Location great and central for lots of different walks nearby. Comfy beds and beautiful cottage generally; well equipped kitchen; log burner and tv good. Clean on arrival. Lovely shower and bathroom. Good WiFi which worked all of the time.

Parking was a pain and not guaranteed a slot outside. Roads aren't very wide, so it was tight when passing other cars. A little bit of noise from neighbours when they were walking around and leaving for work

Fantastic location, minutes walk into Settle. Comfortable beds with high quality bedding. Lovely looking period property, renovated well.

It wasn’t as clean as should be expected with dirt gathering in corners. Bins full and overflowing outside, attracting four-legged pests. This was presumably left by the last guests. Bathroom extremely small with a very low ceiling, however this is in the character of the property. Smell of dogs on the blankets and cushions on the sofa. They could do with regularly washing / replacing.

Self catering cottage

Parking is difficult as first come basis but no info provided in cottage regarding options for parking. We found a car park near rugby ground with free parking after 6 pm overnight. It would be helpful to have some info provided in guidance book Early noise from upstairs woke us up but may just have been a one off! Also a busy road outside door, traffic constant beginning and end working day and quite fast past cottage

Cosy and comfortable and in an ideal location. Nice decor and they’d taken on board previous guests’ comments re. changes required. Great beds and quality bedding.

Needed to be cleaner (too many cobwebs and things that hadn’t been dusted in a long time!). Randomly, there were 6 champagne flutes but only 2 mismatched wine glasses and no tumblers. There had been some work done in the dining area and it was just bare plaster. No recycling bins. Too little toilet roll and kitchen roll - we had to buy both and we were only there 2 nights!

A beautifully decorated cottage with everything we needed, in a fantastic location for exploring the Dales, with space for parking.

Unfortunately the beds had a lot of black dog hair in them and so we weren't sure whether they had been cleaned.

Very clean traditional cottage with a modern feel. Neutral throughout. Incredible duvets and pillows. Luxurious towels. Someone previous had complained about two singles being pushed together to make a bigger bed. These aren’t your every day singles and you couldn’t even notice they were pushed together due to their quality bedding. Very comfortable beds.

There’s a closet in one of the double rooms which has a door in it leading to what I expect is the 2nd floor. This is a locked door and not accessible from the cottage side. I heard footsteps during the night (around 2:30am) above my head which made me feel uneasy about my two young children sleeping in the room next to me with the door in the closet. Dishwasher tablets provided, book asking guests to stack the dishwasher but there’s no dishwasher.

No need to settle in Settle

The cottage is stunning. Refurbished to a high modern standard but without losing its historic and beautiful features. Beautifully designed interior in the perfect central location. 5 minute walk from the train station and less to the shops. The mountains are in touching distance too.

The double beds, whilst comfy were two singles pushed together. The beds were still very comfortable though. Also an ironing board with no iron isn't very helpful 😂
