Our stay at Les Vieilles Digues was fantastic! Sebastien and Sonia were warm, welcoming hosts and the breakfast they prepared each morning was absolutely delicious - a fresh pastry served alongside a buffet of breakfast foods of great variety and high quality (muesli, coffee, tea, fruit, freshly made pancakes, yoghurt, bread, conserves etc.) which really set us up for a day of sightseeing in Mont Saint Michel! Our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped - the tea and coffee machine in the room was a fantastic touch too! Parking was safe and very convenient being on-site. It was a short drive to the Mont Saint Michel carpark before hopping on to the free shuttle buses to the abbey. If you are looking for somewhere safe, welcoming, comfortable and close to Mont Saint Michel without being in the thick of the tourists (also allowing easy exploration of other nearby villages including Beauvoir) then this is the perfect place for you! Located on the edge of Beauvoir (the side nearest Mont St Michel), this place is well located to visit the Mont. Parking on site is easy - and its possible to walk from the property to the shuttle bus to access Mont St Michel, or even walk the whole way if you are feeling energetic! The hosts will give directions if needed as it’s not an immediately obvious route (parking at the Mont is quite expensive so this can save a lot of money). Breakfast is a good “continental” one with reasonable choices. All in all a good choice when visiting Mont Saint Michel.

The room was very clean.
The breakfast was filling and nutritious.
The hostess and owners of this location were wonderful. They went out of the way to make sure we taken care of. Their genuine warm and friendly manner makes you feel so welcome. After traveling for over 6 weeks through out Europe my husband and I agreed Les Vieilles Digues is on the very top of our list of the best places we’ve been due to Sebastian and Sonia hospitality.
