The place has a beautiful ocean view, right in front of the bay and where pretty much everything happens (restaurants, train station, etc). Paolo, the host, was very attentive and gave us a personalized welcome. Visitors to Cinque Terre must know that traveling light is a must -back pack preferably- given that climbing stairs is your only way around. Getting adequate parking may be challenging and clear instructions by the host are crucial.

The staff gave detailed instructions on how to locate the hotel, but it was still very difficult to find. The last 20 meters was where we became lost. There is no hotel sign visible from the alleyway. We would not have found it except with help from a local.

The property is located in a village that is quite magical. Had I known just how amazing the villages were, I would have stayed a week. Dont underestimate the amount of walking and stairs you will be doing to get to your room though. Pack light and wear tennis shoes. I had blisters just getting to my room the first trip, though they were worth it. This room in particular is outstanding. We will be back!

We absolutely loved it—thank you to Paulo for being such an amazing host! His passion for the villages and the wine made for a fantastic start to our trip. Just a heads-up for future visitors: be prepared to walk, including quite a few stairs. It was perfect for us, but others might want to know that you’ll likely need to carry your luggage up a few sets of steaks at times. Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Paolo was an amazing host who looked after all details from parking to excursions. His knowledge of Riomaggiore and the other Cinque Terre villages is unparalleled. The location of the the stay is in the middle of what is happening. Riomaggiore sunsets are unbelievable and the town is the best of them all. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location right down by the water. Not for the faint of heart! Long walk from car park all downhill. (Meaning everything else is up That hill!) Steep and narrow stairs up to the rooms. No elevator. If you have walking issues I would t recommend. If not then go for it! The view is stunning. Bed could use a new mattress.

We stayed at this beautiful property in late March, and I’ve been meaning to leave a well-deserved review ever since. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful—he met us at the entrance of the village, helped us find parking, and even carried our luggage, which was especially appreciated given the walk to the property includes a few steps and a bit of a climb. But trust me, the moment you arrive, it’s all absolutely worth it. The view is simply breathtaking. From the terrace, you can see the endless ocean, the colorful buildings clinging to the cliffs across the bay, and hear the soothing sound of the waves below. It felt like stepping into a postcard. And the sunsets—wow. I’d call them million-dollar views without hesitation. Watching the sun dip below the horizon with such a dramatic backdrop was a highlight of our trip. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic stay in Riomaggiore with a warm and helpful host, this is the place.

We couldn’t have found a more perfect location for our stay in Riomaggiore. The apartment is right beside the harbour, adjacent to restaurants and the gelato shop (!), and it is spacious and full of character. We have everything we need and the main room and bathroom are clean and beautifully presented. Paulo met us on arrival and gave us a helpful and very interesting overview of the area. His communication before and during our stay was quick and clear. The payment process was easy. We have travelled a lot in the past decade and this beautiful apartment and village will always remain a highlight - we definitely recommend it. (NB: There is a narrow staircase up to the top apartment so check first if you have mobility issues or very heavy luggage. The lower apartment may suit you better. That said, for us the extra steps were 100% worthwhile for the comfort and views awaiting us at the top!)

Lovely stay for us from Canada. It is a bit difficult walking all those stairs but the owner assisted us and we got a service to bring our bags back to the train on leaving. Excellent view of the sea and all activity from our balcony. Perfect spot

The location was perfect. We got a "limited view room" but the view was magnificent, there was nothing limited about the view. It is located at the main marina close to restaurants, mini markets, tours. Our host Michele, went above and beyond helping us to book the local train and hiking tickets. He was always available for any questions and solve them in a timely manner

The room (Mastrale) was exceptional. It was perfect for a couple. The view was beyond compare from the large terrace. It is clean, well cared for. Paolo was welcoming, knowledgeable and helped us to plan our approach to maximize our visit. He was a pleasure to talk to and work with. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful setting on Ligurian Sea. Easy access to boat tours, train station and good restaurants. Daily highlight sitting on balcony. However, we were not told how far parking was from hotel and the steep roads and uneven steps needed to get to hotel. Daily use of uneven steps was a challenge. We were not told to pack a small bag which would have made trip arrival much better and we had no idea where car was parked until we left.

What a great overnight experience...we were met right at the train station and walked to the place since it was confusing to get to at first... our room was clean, and so unique. I would recommend this place to anyone but keep in mind there are a lot of steps to take to get to it...that could make it difficult for some.

Wow! We have seen the photo of Riomaggiore for many weeks and to see our hotel in the very view we have looked at. Sunsets at the marina were amazing.
