Lovely place with all the needed amenities and a great view. Very clean and easy check in process. Be mindful that with the great view, comes elevation. You can take the town elevator up to make the walk easier with your luggage, but still be prepared to haul up hills and stairs, but worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We also appreciated the free access to the town’s elevator, and Paolo kindly checked several times if we needed anything for the room. It felt like a very safe place to stay, with a lovely outdoor area to sit and relax.

We stayed in The Wanderlust, and the view was incredible! If both elevators had been working, I would have zero complaints - and Le Camere di Paolo has no control over the elevators - just sharing that the walk up up up to get to that view was...a lot! But the a/c in the room was excellent; the bed was comfortable; and the shower was great. Paolo was so helpful with instructions on how to get to the place, getting us beach towels and another key card. Very friendly and kind as others have indicated.

The WiFi didn’t work for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. The place is super clean the bed was very comfortable. The sheets were crunchy. The wine and snacks were a very pleasant surprise! We would go back!

Le Camere di Paolo was the perfect place to stay while visiting Riommagiore. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and spacious. (Better than the photos.) Situated high above town with beautiful views. Paolo was a fabulous host, communicating with us both before and during our stay. He left us a bottle of wine in each room, as well as chocolates for someone in my group who was celebrating a birthday. Highly recommend!

The Camere di Paolo is truly an exceptional place to stay while in Cinque Terre. The location is perfect for those who want to get up and away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street/harbour and has the most beautiful sweeping views of Riomaggiore. Paolo was incredibly kind and attentive to me from before I even arrived and throughout the entire of my stay - he even left me some wine and chocolates in the room as a surprise for my birthday. The rooms (I stayed in two different ones over five days) are incredibly clean and well appointed and just feel new and fresh. And they have truly thought to provide everything in the rooms as well, from welcome wine and waters to dish soap and hand washing laundry detergent. I genuinely could not have felt more comfortable or at home in this hotel and can’t recommend it (and Riomaggiore in general!) enough to anyone looking to book a trip to CT.

The room was beautiful and clean with a magnificent view. Getting there was a bit tricky since the top elevator didn’t work and we had no alternative directions. Besides that the stay was excellent and Paolo was a very nice and good host. I would highly recommend staying here!

I have nothing but great things to stay about this property. It was clean and excellent. My wife and I absolutely loved it. You are in a quiet and nice spot with stunning views just around the corner. The owner Paolo was amazing. Responding to us quickly and making sure our stay was very memorable. We had nothing but a good time and enjoyed every minute of our stay. If I had one tiny thing to say it’s know that it’s a long climb and if you have lost of baggage like us it was a hard climb. Stellar experience.

The problem with the Camere di Paolo is that it’s so lovely you don’t want to go out. The property itself is beautiful and serene and our room was absolutely immaculate with a great shower, comfortable big bed and the most picture perfect views over Riomaggiore to the sea. The host has really given thought to the small things that make your stay perfect with your room containing all the things you want but often don’t have - a coffee maker and a kettle, small fridge, generous amount of coffee pods, crockery, washing powder, clothes airer...The complimentary wine on arrival and chocolates when Paolo realised it was my daughter’s birthday were really the icing on the cake of a beautiful stay.

Paolo is a great host! He checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. Went above & beyond. Room was clean, very new and comfortable. Just beware the elevators weren’t working when I was there so I had to carry my luggage up many steps! Otherwise, I totally recommend and will be staying here in the future ◡̈

The view from the room is incredible. Paolo makes sure you have many of the things you need in the room, including a thoughtful gift of a bottle of wine and sweets. The place is very nice, modern, and clean. Paolo is very pleasant and helpful. If you read the other reviews, you already know the city is full of stairs, but for me it was a good workout. Feel free to visit Paolo's place. You'll love it!

Paolo was great in addressing any concerns. The set of dishes and dish soap along with the bottle of wine was a wonderful surprise. If the town elevators are not working, be prepared to take a lot of stairs up to the room, unless one takes the bus.

Its in the upper end of the Village but thanks to the public lifts it is easy to access. The village is quit busy but the surroundings to Paolos place is not and it is very nice around the church and the nice restaurant nearby.

Without a doubt this is the best ever place we stayed at. For sure this is an award winner. Not sure if Expedia vets these places if yes then Expedia did an excellent job. This property is a gem. Clean ,tidy, convenient and the icing on the cake was our host Paolo and his Mom. You feel you have a faily in a different country. They made us feel at home answered all our questions did a lot for us. For sure I wish we could have stayed a month. But reality kicks in and we had to move. Thanks Paola for everything. When we decide to come back for sure I will stay at your location.

Le Camere di Paolo was amazing. Paolo is such a kind and generous host. He made sure we had everything we needed, and was readily available via text for anything else that came up. But truthfully, the room was already set-up perfectly. Pristine bedding, linens and bathroom. Great amenities, including AC, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, TV, WiFi, and drinks/snacks. They also had a cute outdoor patio. This accommodation was near the castle, and Paolo gave clear instructions on how to get here via the elevators throughout Riomaggiore. Riomaggiore is such a great location, you can walk anywhere, take in the view and enjoy a snack or book. There are elevators that are free with the Tourist Card assigned to you when staying in Riomaggiore. There are some amazing restaurants and shops near the town center. Great views at the marina. We visited the other towns in Cinque Terre, and felt that Riomaggiore was definitely more romantic and intimate, especially towards the end of the day when the crowds thin out. It felt very safe even at night. The other great attraction is the Via dell’Amore, a paved pathway that connects Riomaggiore to Manarola. I highly recommend for the gorgeous views (especially at sunset) but it is timed entry, so make sure to book ahead of time. There’s also the Blue Trail that connects all of Cinque Terre, but it’s definitely a moderate/hard hike. As an alternative, there’s a train that runs very frequently to see the other towns.

The elevators leading up from the train station were convenient, so we didn't have to climb the hill in the summer heat! It was a great stay, would definitely recommend.

The Superior Double room was perfect. Clean, comfortable, like new and the view was unbelievable. Staying above the village turned out to be best as the Main Street is very noisy morning through night. The elevators down to the lower areas of the village are nearby. Learn where those are right away! We dropped our bags for our car right at the front gate. No carrying suitcases through the village or up stairs. Paolo was an awesome host!

We loved our stay here. The room was nice and clean, it looked new and renovated. The view was amazing, I will never forget waking up to the view in the window. We had an amazing stay at this hotel, Paolo was super attentive, they provide an excellent service, the room was spacious and clean, it has everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is on top of a hill but there are 2 elevators you can take which makes it extremely easy to access with luggage if you need. We arrived by car and Paolo helped us to find a parking on the street. We definitely recommend this place and we would 100% stay here again when visiting the 5T. Thank you Paolo!
