    We stayed here three nights and the room was so pretty and newly renovated. Spacious and had a really nice bed. Out of the five hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka was this the only one that was completely quiet during night time. The shower was also amazing. But what really stood out was the exceptional service, hard working staff and the cleaning! It was five stars. We are so happy with our stay at the Waves and recommend it 100%!

    The location is really excellent with the view of and access to the beach and the staff, especially Chanuka, are very helpful. 10/10 for these factors. But based on the pictures, price, and reviews, we expected a bit more of a luxury stay but it was actually quite dingy. The room is much smaller and dimmer than it looks in the pictures. The safe was rested on a shelf that caved when we tried to press the button and the whole safe fell very close to where if could have crushed my daughter's hand. Of course Chanuka addressed all our concerns and needs very quickly because of the excellent service but overall it felt like a bit of an overpriced stay.
