While browsing for a hotel near Schiphol Airport, we found that Grand Hotel offered one of the most affordable rates, and the standard was surprisingly high. The room was exceptionally spacious, featuring one and a half bathrooms — with the main bathroom including both a bathtub and a separate shower booth, which was a pleasant surprise. As we had an early flight to catch, the hotel thoughtfully prepared an excellent takeaway breakfast for us. Given the overall experience, Grand Hotel will be the first place we check when traveling to Amsterdam/Schiphol again.

It's a little outside of Amsterdam, which could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. We appreciated that it was in a quiet area. The room we stayed in was a little dated, but adequate for our needs. The staff was nice and the area around the hotel was nice.

The hotel is good, the rooms are spacious and the location is good (though, it's far from the city) but in a quiet area. However, the biggest low is the breakfast, out of 6 days I only had once and it was such a letdown, with a limited variety

The hotel was fine but there wasno food available in the evening except a limited selection of fried foods from the bar. And there was only one option within walking distance and at 7:30 p.m. the restaurant ina bowling alley was full and not interested in accommodating extra diners. That was a definite negative.

The restaurant of the hotel closes very early and the same with the restaurants around. The only things they can offer you to eat at the bar (when it is opened…) is frozen pizza or bitterballen ! What a standing for a 4stars hotel ! Unbelievable…I have never seen that before….

Three night stay. Hotel is location about 20 mins drive to Airport but easy 60 mins to Amsterdam central via bus/tram and metro. Ongoing civil construction around property cuts of the main entrance except coming through rear of building

We liked mostly everything about the hotel but without a car, it is not the most convenient. Breakfast was wonderful & highly recommended. The biggest gripe was NO iron or ironing board in our room. We had to go to another floor to do that and we found that very inconvenient. However, a very good washer was provided for free along with soap and a dryer as well that was a very temperamental machine. All in all a very good hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. Would stay here again.

I emailed them to arrange me and my friend room together, very happy they did it for us. Every thing is good, except they took the toiletries when cleaning the room without refill it , we don't have anything to use it. The hotel have 24 hours reception, very good. Lovely staff and good breakfast which felt filling. Got to love the rooms with the art from the initiative to support disabled artists. Bed was extremely comfortable and the tub was really perfect size for me at my 175cm height. Love the convenient public transport to get to the airport.
