Bel & The Dragon Cookham

The breakfast was good. Plenty of selection but I don't think all of it was cooked fresh. The bacon was very hard and not easy to cut. The toast was not as one would expect toast to be, it seemed as if it was bread that was put in a pan with oil and served. But nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

This was the perfect, most charming place to stay for our overnight in Cookham. The room was absolutely spotless and was decorated like home. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed bubble baths in the huge tub. The pub itself is beautiful, and we loved having our drinks by the fireplace. Highly recommend!

Could not fault my one night here. Lovely room, comfy bed, big tv, nice big shower and lots of hot water. The restaurant is excellent and very reasonably priced, breakfast looked great but I had not enough time to stop and eat. This place is a great advert for staying in a country pub:-)

We were very impressed with the whole experience. We were warmly welcomed, shown to a lovely room which had everything we needed with complimentary sloe gin and whisky which was lovely. We booked an evening meal, the food and setting were perfect with a beautiful garden to sit in. Breakfast was really good with a lot of choice. Freshly cooked with a selection of cereals, croissants, juices, tea and coffee. Everything you needed The service was excellent along with the staff who were more than hospitable, looked like a great team. Lovely walks along the river. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
