It is super conveniently located, good private parking (at a charge). The place is clean, typical Italian decor (colorful and lacking of finish) - absolutely ok! We did have an unfortunate experience: the tlf.no. we got online was apparently wrong (turned out to be that of a landlady for a property next door, who uses the same parking facility). Through message we were guided to the apartment. As we got instructions upon contact regarding the parking, & seing that the adress & dot on the map was in the right place, we never even considered something wasn’t right, until the landlady called and said that there had been a mixup & she had made a mistake & we would have to leave the apartment immediately. We were then directed next door, to the right residence. We understand mistakes can happen (although this one was particularly strange!), but you would think that everyone would understand how this was uncomfortable for everyone involved - especially us - but we were unfortunately ‘greeted’ at Cernobbio Residence, with very little kindness, instead we were put through very uncomfortable ‘3.rd degree’ by the owner, about the tlf.number & who we had talked to etc. & then finally giving us a hard time about coming for check in at 8:30 pm and not 6:30 pm, as it stated online (obviously we were in a different apartment at that point!). We Had actually been recommended their restaurant for dinner, which originally was our plan, but with the very unfriendly check-in we decided not to.

The photo in the picture if the pool is not part of the hotel. It is a communal pool 500metres from the hotel which also is of extra cost. I complained to hotels.com about it because we booked the hotel simply for the pool, which it doesnt have, yet the picture is still there. Very misleading. Parking costs €5 overnight. Good location for wandering around the town. In fairness, the bed was comfortable and room was clean, but was very dated.

Apartment was clean and tidy, but unfortunately our stay was marred by experience afterwards in trying to get our son's jacket returned. The apartment staff eventually confirmed they had the jacket, but no response to various e-mails, texts and calls when we have tried to arrange (and pay for) postage back to us. I appreciate this is a particular instance and not relevant to many, but it has coloured our view of the Residence's management.

We waited at a reastaurant to arrive within the short check in window. Nobody was there when we arrived. We had to call and wait 15 minutes. They said they send me an email asking for arrival time. I never received. Instructions indicate to call if you plan to arrive after 6 PM. The fact is, you need to call to schedule your check in because these are appartments and there is no desk. Other than that the appartment was good, it had a kitchinet and a washer machine (no dryer, shame we got wet under the rain and had no way to dry our clothes).The other issue was the swimming pool. They include a swimming pool picture and we thought it was part of the facility. The pool is by the beach, a few blocks away from the appartment. This is not a service included in the rental.
