nothing surrounding. still a walking distance to via rail and train station. quiet neighborhood. but the room awesome. only 2 lifts were working during my visit. so take some time to go up and down. need to queue.

We couldn’t believe that a hotel under the Marriott group lacked such basic amenities. Items like bottled water, slippers, and even a kettle were not provided unless we specifically requested them — and the kettle we received was broken. Another major issue was the elevator waiting time. It was extremely long, with crowds constantly gathering in the elevator lobby. Some guests had to wait up to 15 minutes just to return to their rooms, which was honestly unbelievable and very inconvenient. For the price we paid, we expected a much better experience. This hotel charges luxury-level prices, but the service and amenities were very disappointing and did not match the standard we expected from a Marriott property.

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Ottawa East on our first night of a multi-day family trip. Hotel is not far from downtown which is great for visiting. The free parking is definitely a plus. Hotel itself is great and staff friendly. Recommended for both business and personal trips to Ottawa.
