It is near various bus stops and near the train station, the room is spacious

The tele was not working, maybe it were the remote control batteries, there is garbage on the front stairs and in the backyard.

Location was good. The bed was quite comfortable.

It was on basement which I weren’t informed. Quite frustrating. Cleaning was not properly done — dusts on the side table, garbage bin not being empty… I don’t really understand the garbages stacked at the front door. Why they don’t remove them?

This was my first experience in a accommodations like this. The various guests were exceptional in helping find my unit location and the smiles says it all for me. Hats off to The Maiden.

The one cleaner I did meet was very kind and accommodating.

The description of the accommodation is somewhat misleading on booking.com. While it does state that there is a shared bathroom, it does not disclose that this booking is essentially dormitory style lodging. The unit is one common area (kitchen and living room) with many bedrooms (I believe 8) down a long hallway with 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bath. Parking at this location is also extremely inconvenient. Instructions from the owner said to park at the UOttowa visitor parking garage (a paid lot) a 5-7 minute walk away. What was not disclosed is that you can only park here for a maximum of 24 hours at a time - after the first 24 hours, you must move your vehicle to another lot. Unknowingly, I attempted to park at this location again during the second night of my stay and recieved a $100 ticket. The owner suggested the above as they inferred that "street parking is difficult." However, I later found out that street parking is free overnight until 8am and I had no issue doing this on the final night of my stay. As an additional note, the bathrooms could have been cleaner. They lack floor drains, and the design of the shower almost always left water on the floor, often from the person who used the bathroom prior to you. Adequate towels to clean or accommodate for this were not provided. I would not have booked my stay here had I known the above.
