Byward-Market Luxury GuestHouse

The lounge was very welcoming, kitchen is vast and very practical. The bedroom was massive for a single person, very welcoming, and bathroom very convenient. I was worried when the description said "shared bathroom" but in fact, the bathroom was exclusively for my room and inside the room. Good night sleep. The surrounding is super quiet, and the house is only a few blocks away from bymarket and landmarks, so I did all my visits on foot.

maybe another bright light / lamp in the room would help, but I liked the charming dimmable bed table lamps.

The location was generally good - close enough to walk to Byward Market area, and with the embassies around the area felt fairly secure. The "presidential suite" was very spacious and had a large bathroom. Shower was great. Saw previous reviews complaining about the leak in the kitchen, which was still there when we stayed, but did not impact our stay at all.

I've never seen worse pillows. If the host is reading this, it can't cost too much to go out and buy something cheap but 10x more serviceable than those on offer. When we arrived, my girlfriend entered the room while I went back to the car for luggage and when I saw the pillows, I genuinely thought she'd taken them out of the cases and laid the cases back on the bed as a prank. The parking on the driveway was predictably a nightmare. We knew this would happen, so paid to park near Byward Market. We still got a text message from the host, and a knock on the door from the stuck guest, at 9am to ask if the car blocking the drive was ours (it was not).

Perfect location.

Very thin walls. Other guests walking by our door sounded like they were inside the room. Also, the parking situation led to some very frustrating moments when one guest wanted to leave but got parked in by another guest's car.

The overall location was good. I walked everywhere due to its central location

Nothing to mention
