The hotel is close to the bars and clubs where there is far too much noise at night (at least on the weekend). The staff kindly moved my room, which improved the noise situation, but I would avoid staying here on the weekend.

Excellent location in the city centre close to restaurants and bars. The park close to the national stadium is worth a visit. Food and drink prices are very reasonable.

In the city center, which is convenient for a city trip. However, there's a bar closeby, which plays very loud music, which keeps you awake until 3am. The swimming pool is an option which needs to be paid. In the morning, the smells from the kitchen are strong inside the room. The older lady with the red hair from housekeeping was very sweet.

We liked the location, it was central and accessible to everything we needed. The location of the hotel is on a street that is walkable only so there is only walking traffic. It is also very close to a car accessible street (1-2 minute walk) if you require a taxi or a driver. There are a number of restaurants in the street so you do not need to go far for a coffee or meal. There is are a couple of bakeries and markets just a five minute walk away around the corner. Several stores for shopping and cultural spots to enjoy. It was so nice to see so many families out walking in the evening. We opted for the hotel and airfare package and were very pleased. The hosts at the hotel were very gracious and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

This was an ok hotel. I am not sure how it is 4 star status hotel. The gym is closed, the rooms on the higher floors are small and do not look like the pictures (with renovations being done), but the air conditioner worked well. The staff were nice enough. It was convenient to downtown, walking in the parks and close to restaurants.

The room was good. 2 kids had to sleep on the sofa and it was a bit tight but not terrible. The television didn't work but we weren't there to watch television. Construction was going on in the room next door so during the day it was very loud. We weren't in the room all day but did come back to rest in the middle of the day and that wasn't possible with all the noise. The reception gave good information and was helpful. The breakfast had so many options and the woman attendant was fabulous and kind.

Nice spa hotel for a couple of nights. Location is excellent in the middle of all the bars and restaurants inclluding the Hard Rock Cafe just 2 minutes away. Nice functional rooms, clean, heating, air con. No kettle or tea or coffee though. Our tv dudnt work but not worried anout that as had tablet. Good WiFi. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice, enough for us. Spa was lovely, 2 hours at Euro10 each. Nice pool, hot tub, sauna and more. Nice for a bit of relaxation. Overall for the pride paid, decent comfortable hotel and located excellently. Recommend.

Paid extra for premium suite. One window latch was missing. Wind gusts 100kh. Old plumbing that smelled like sewage if you didn't pour water to flush down a drain pipe every day. Shower was patched with white duct tape. Many amenities that are common are pay (10 euro for 2 hours in pool). The front facing room are SUPER loud at night from 10pm-3am. Breakfast is lackluster and service is hit or miss. Ana was wonderful. Blonde lady during breakfast was very kind and helpful. Dark haired woman not my favorite.

This is a lovely hotel, a great location and clean. I was able to walk from the train station and find plenty of restaurants to have dinner at nearby along with seeing some sites nearby. I spent time in the spa which is lovely and affordable. The breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very noisy due to location. Rooms are huge, but dated. The bathroom looks a bit like a hospital. Shower plate didn't drain well, no hot water sometimes. The gym is just a basement full of dusty old equipment, not really usable. The spa is modern and nice. Just be aware it's not included, you have to pay 10€ to use. Breakfast is ok although the fruits were not fresh at all. Reception staff very helpful and organised transport to airport.

During the winter the heater did not work, room wasn’t as showed on the internet, we were asked to pay for using sauna by one receptionist and another told us it should be free for guests staying at the hotel. We could not sleep all night because of AC was on during winter. Not coming back there.

The Alexandar Lux is a comfortable small hotel located in the middle of Podgorica. Staff is very helpful in suggesting places to visit and activities to do in and around the city. High marks go out to Marina at the front desk for getting us a driver to bring us to the beautiful Ostrog Monastery on a Sunday. Cost for the excursion was very reasonable. As for our room, it was super clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was much appreciated as the temperature outside was in the upper 30s during our entire stay in the city. The breakfast buffet was also excellent with all kinds of delicious food (many local favourites) to choose from. A taxi to or from the train station-bus station costs less than 2 Euros. A taxi to or from the Delta Mall, where you can see English movies, costs les than 3 Euros. We did not go to the indoor spa at the Alexandar Lux though tarifs were reasonable.

However, this hotel is way over-priced for what it has to offer (charging 69 euros per night is too much for the experience we discovered). Our initial room's bathroom had not been cleaned properly (the toilet had splashes of excrement on the sides, hairs everywhere, and dirty sink). Reception immediately found us a better room, bathrooms were clean, but floors had hairs throughout. One reason we selected this more expensive hotel was because they advertised a swimming pool and gym. But upon check-in we were told that we'd have to pay yet another 10 euros each just to use the pool (and for only two hours)!!! The gym was free, but in a musty basement, where none of the weight machines worked, and no use-able free weights. Basically just a dirty room to do push-ups in. Best work out in your room instead. As for the free breakfast, we found the water dispenser to be chlorine water (as if the water jug had been filled from the tap). The eggs tasted rotten, and even looked purple one morning. But the most off-putting element of having breakfast there was this stern brunette kitchen woman who would literally stare at you the entire time you're filling your plate, with a look on her face as if you're stealing her own food, making you feel extremely uncomfortable to return for even another cup of coffee! Overall, I could not recommend for the price they charge.

The hotel location was great (new town of Podgorica) and all main attractions are at a walkable distance. On the neighborhood, there are various restaurants, bars, shops and markets nearby, but still you barely hear the music or anything inside the hotel (it is really very quiet inside). The staff speaks very good English and are very friendly with guests. They were very attentive during our whole stay and even support us on booking a driver to move us around Montenegro to see attractions outside of Podgorica. The facilities are good, comfortable and included everything that one will expect from such a quality hotel. Breakfast was great! Lots of options to eat and drink, however I will not say it is vegan-friendly (which was not our case, but I guess it might be important for someone else).
