Spacious 2 bedroom room with common area kitchen and balcony - very clean with all the essentials including parking!

Easy to access and onsite parking for a fee was great and available for the day, even after check out. We had a two bedroom unit that was nicely appointed and had coffee, tea and goodies for snacking on. We ate at a great little pizza spot just around the corner.

My stay at Residence Porta Al Prato was a really enjoyable one. I was there for a four night stay and had the option of having my room cleaned once during my stay as I was staying for over 3 nights (I didn’t take up the option during my stay for the sake of an extra night). The team were very welcoming and able to help answer questions I had about the area and the hotel as I was travelling solo. The room itself was very comfy and well suited to people travelling solo or with other people. It was nice to have a kitchen area if anyone would prefer to cook rather than dine out. The room was nicely decorated and was clean on arrival. The only things I would flag would be the lock seemed a little loose on the main door - it worked and was secure but just a little loose. The curtains were also non-blackout so when the sun came through it would wake you up. Not ideal if you did want to have a lay in but also a nice way to start your day. The hotel itself is located just outside of the main centre of Florence and is in walking distance to the main train station with bus and tram stops also nearby. The traffic around the hotel could be quite busy around the peak hours of travel but not a problem as I was walking everywhere. Overall I had a very enjoyable stay here and would recommend to anyone wanting to go to Florence and need somewhere safe, clean and comfortable to stay during your time in this beautiful city.

The property doesn’t had AC and with my kids we suffered whole night with mosquito bite. There is an ants everywhere , attacking foods. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, not sure how this hotel got 8.8 star rating.

The reception staff was great but : 1 hotel didn’t clean our room (even we put the sign at the door) 2 too much noise 3 they don’t have dark curtains so a lot of light from outside

The concierge is not 24 hrs. This forced me to change my travel plans traveling from Switzerland. That cost me an extra $262.00. We also had a strange knock on our door 30 minutes after we arrived at the hotel. That made my wife very nervous, because the concierge was not 24 hrs. The hotel was clean and the apt. was nice. I'm not sure if I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Toilet floor has a pool of water when we’re in. We thought it was Leaking . I cleaned the water and the floor is dry ever after! This room was obviously not cleaned properly! They should be charged for cleaning fees

The front desk staff member Renalde was very helpful and provided excellent customer service and we appreciated his friendly attitude and assistance. However, Hotel Management refused to fix our kitchen sink and had no hot water causing us to boil water. Not very professional or appreciated.

This is a ONE star motel/rooming house at the VERY MOST!!!! 4 star is very disrespectful to other hotels… it is horrible on so many levels… is fairly clean but thats it…. Wow what a surprise its even on Expedias website but as a 4 star it is a downright lie.

Great property and great staff. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen and it was cheaper than the tiny hotel room (Marriot) across the street. Highly recommended for families.

Check in staff was friendly and helpful with many questions. Room ( apartment) was good size and clean but beds were very uncomfortable. Noise at night sounded like someone vacuuming and dropping things kept us awake until long after midnight.

It's an excellent property and we had a very comfortable stay. Only that it's on one side of the station and major attractions are on the other side so be prepared to walk a bit.

Not worth booking a stay here. The facilities are old and their air condition isn’t working. When I asked the manager he said it will be fixed by next week. We stayed for 2 nights at this property and were bitten by mosquitoes as we had to open the windows as it’s so humid on Florence during our stay. It’s a stressful experience to say the least. There are more decent places to stay and unfortunately this property doesn’t cut the list. Not recommend at all!

When traveling to Venice, this is a great option instead of a high priced hotel in the island, so convenient to the train station then just a 10 min ride and you’re in the middle of everything. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and a great value

Air conditioner in the apartment was terrible. The sofa was suppose to be a sofa cama but it was not.

The hotel clerks are very friendly and helpful, hotel is classic with vintage doorknobs, doors, etc. but all well kept. The Metro stop is a block away so easy access to the city. We stayed in room for 4 and it was very spacious with small kitchen that allowed us to buy and cook some meals but it is close to restaurants and has auto laundry across the street.

Front desk clerk was nice and welcoming. Great location to catch the train to get around. The kitchen was a plus for me with separate living area and bedroom. Not crowded for a party of three.
