    Beautiful and convenient hotel with a great location. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Really appreciated the free amenities provided, which made the stay even more enjoyable and value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definitely stay again.

    We stayed at Hotel Éclat Taipei as a couple for two nights in a Deluxe Double Room. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and did not meet the standard I would expect from a 5-star hotel. Our first room, Room 807, had an issue with the air-conditioning system repeatedly turning off and on every few minutes, creating a loud ticking sound each time. When I contacted the front desk, the initial response was that the air-conditioning can be noisy in this hotel, before the staff member had properly understood the issue. I explained that the normal air-conditioning sound was not the issue — it was the repeated switching on and off. A staff member came to inspect the room and agreed there was a problem, but after almost an hour without an update, I had to call reception again. The response felt abrupt, and the whole process was more troublesome than it should have been. We were eventually moved to another room. The second room, Room 206, had a different problem. The shower drain did not drain properly, so every time we showered, water overflowed out of the shower area, across the bathroom, and even into the room. By that point, we were too tired to raise another issue and potentially move rooms again, so we tolerated it. The room also felt poorly maintained and not thoroughly cleaned. The shower fixture was visibly broken, and there were stray hairs on the room table when we checked in. Overall, the staff at check-in and during the stay did not feel especially warm or welcoming, and the room quality was far below expectation for the price. Given the maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and service experience, the hotel felt overpriced and not worthy of its 5-star positioning. I would not recommend staying here.
