    My sister and I had a great experience staying at the Tokyo International Hotel in Taipei. The location was close to two MRT stops (10-12 min walk) and close to many shops and places to eat; the rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet; the breakfast was well-done with many tasty and freshly cooked Japanese and Taiwanese options; and the free washer and dryer were super convenient to be able to use onsite. What really stood out, though, was the level of service. The owner of the hotel was warm and friendly and took the effort to say hello and talk with us several times to make sure we were having a good experience. We felt very well cared for. I sprained my ankle one day in the rain and when the owner saw me limping, she even gave me an umbrella that could also be used as a cane to help me with walking! The front desk staff were always so courteous and helpful and a couple of them (I wish I could remember their names) were truly outstanding. Staying here was an overall great experience!

    Good place to stay. Good location (walkable distance to Zhongshan MRT and a few bus stops). Very clean and staff are professional. Great for budget.

    Doesn’t turn on aircon at night. Telling us that the room that we are in is a centralised aircon room. Bought two fans in for us instead. Can’t believe we had to suffer for 3 nights cause it was pre paid in Agoda. Everything in the hotel is chargeable. Including additional bottled water. And if you are travelling in groups with lots of luggage. This hotel has a stairs where you have to bring carry your luggage in order to get to the lift. Which is super inconvenient. You thought you will have a better service from a Japanese ownself hotel, but NOPE. Location wise, quite alright. Overall, WILL NOT COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN. Any other hotels in Taiwan can get better service attitude and facilities.
