Wouldn’t recommend if you need to connect to WiFi to do any form of work, streaming/ internet browsing of any sort. Had I known - I probably would have just paid extra for somewhere with reliable WiFi. As a Country pub though, great food, decent drink selection and great restaurant staff.

The food was perfect, staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to anyone who is looking for accommodation in the area.

Arrived checked in after a few minutes. Nice clean rooms All the staff on when i stayed were attentive and very friendly Lovely little Pub/Restaurant area. Food was excellent quality. Road noise isn't excessive, as its situated on the main road, so dont let that put you off. My self and business partner will be booking accommodation again a couple of time in 26 when we are down in the area on work.

I've used the F&G over many years. It's a decent independent hotel which has recently refurbished at least some of its rooms. If you're fed up of chains, try the F&G.

The room was nice, but we had a problem with both the front window not closing and a noisy hairdryer. However, when we told them at reception, the hairdryer was replaced for a better one and the window was fixed to our satisfaction. Overall, quite satisfied.

Spacious room. Good room facilities. Excellent bathroom. No information in room about timings for breakfast. No information on booking whether breakfast was included in deal. Slept well until road noise woke me up 630an.

Convenient to the motorway, the staff are friendly & welcoming but the rooms are a bit dated. Rooms are big & well equipped but need renovating to a modern standard. The mattress on my bed was very soft & saggy. Full English breakfast buffet is nice, eggs are cooked to order but (strangely) they are not keen to serve scrambled eggs. Overall it is good value and I would stay again.

We stayed for one night, convienant to catch early flight for Bristol airport We had a lovely stay and the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful The food was excellent in the dinning area and especially dessert...cheesecake to die for. Would definitely recommend although good luck with crossing the busy duel carriageway if you want a nice pleasant and picturesque walk through Brent Knoll village.

Lovely place to stay, very clean and spacious rooms, only downside was this was a last minute booking and we were not aware that the bar or resturant was not open as it was Sunday and didnt arrive till late evening. However, we travelled a very short distance to a chipshop, also bought a bottle of wine and very much enjoyed this in the comfort of our room watching the sunset on very comfortable chairs through our window. We would definately visit again. Very lovely and helpful manager.

We stayed for one night en route to Cornwall. Excellent room, well appointed and spotless. Good local real ales and nice food. We did feel that breakfast was overpriced.

Bloody awful dirty bathroom then when I asked for a cloth and cleaner to clean it myself, the night manager verbally attacked me for not travelling for work, which I was. She then pretended to be someone else when she came to clean the room. Also the bed was 2 singles pushed together one hard one soft. They refunded me.

The hotel is seperate from a pub so rather quiet. It is though just by a busy Road but once windows closed it was ok. Had air conditioning so not a problem. Nice shower and clean bedding, comfortable beds. Warming rails for towels in the bathroom were real nice touch. They are pet friendly and have yard to walk your dog. Overall good experience would definitely recommend. The only thing personally for me was lack of vegetarian choice on the menu.

We were disappointed they weren't doing breakfast this wasn't made clear when we booked but other than that we jav no complaints. Rooms corridors reception were all very clean
