Great location and price, pretty clean, those stairs are the devi tho!!! Very steep.

Overall, I recommend this hotel. Like many others, I picked this hotel based on reviews so I want to provide one. It’s located in a safe and relatively quiet area of Amsterdam very close to the Heineken brewery and Rijktmuseum. It’s about a 35-40 minute walk from the train station so we took an Uber since it was raining when we arrived. I liked the location because Amsterdam is a small city and we could easily walk or tram to places. The staff is very friendly and helped us with our luggage (see why below) and allowed us to leave our bags after checkout as we went out for brunch and to the Rijkt. I gave this hotel 4/5 stars in a few areas. First, while my kids and I found this charming you should know the stairs to the levels with rooms are very steep and there’s no elevator. We had a small suitcase which they brought up for us but if you’re traveling with large and heavy suitcases this could be a problem. Also, our room was small They tend to be smaller in Europe and that’s fine but we were 3 so if we had large suitcases it would have been tight. Finally the room was clean and had fresh linens and towels but I gave a 4/5 for cleanliness given its age and overall condition So I do recommend this hotel but you should know about the stairs and room size.

We stayed here with a friend for two nights. The area in overall was very quiet with couple of restaurants and grocery store nearby. The hotel staff were really nice and helpful. The room we had was quite small, but that was expected, with shower and toilet. The hotel and the room were clean too.
