When I arrived there, it was closed and I could enter the hotel by the check-in machine in front of gate. Overall, it is great place.

Stayed one night, very nice hotel, clean, near enough to town to find a good restaurant, good range of breakfast options though no cooked hot food. No noise problem at all a we had a room not overlooking either road. Can imagine it might be slightly noisier if facing the main road but even so, good glazing should deal with that. Bathroom needs towel rails fitted because as soon as you've used a towel there's nowhere to hang it apart from one tiny metal hook high up on a wall.

Staff are very friendly. Hotel decor is old and need a revamp. Breakfast is ok and definitely not value for money. Breads did not seem fresh. They don’t have a kitchen as such, they just warm up food in the oven or microwave. Hotel bar is limited. Not kettle in the room, had to ask for it and it was quickly provided. No English channels on TV. Hotel is not value for money, quite the opposite.

This hotel is positioned between 2 busy main roads so road noise is areal negative ,we found it very difficult to sleep. We were on the ground floor so did not have a window instead we had a tilt and turn glass door when we stayed it was very hot so had limited ventilation at night the combination of heat, no air and road noise spoilt our stay. We went for an evening walk and were surprised to find 350 meters from the hotel a prison the prisoners were shouting from the windows at first we thought we were mistaken so when we got home we went on the internet and yes it was a prison so not the best of locations.

It was OK, but also my first stay in Douai. Would have to compare price to the Ibis and such for a better feeling for teh area. Nice staff and good breakfast. Rooms are a bit dated and heating so-so.

The room was very basic ,only one cup between two of us,the plastic cups we used one night from the bathroom were not replaced the next day,toilet rolls not topped up ,we had to request one from reception.the breakfast was very basic and over priced.We were asked to pay our bill on the 2nd day of our 4 night stay.Restaurants very hard to find open in the evening.definitely a 2 star hotel.
