It was the worst experience ever. The night staff on the night of the 31st to the 1st were extremely unprofessional. They gave us a disgusting room at 1 a.m., even though we had a child with us. They accommodated us in a shabby room in a different building in the courtyard. I asked them to check my reservation in the system because I hadn’t paid to stay there. They started mumbling and then told us there's another building in front. When we got there, the receptionist was incredibly rude. He was speaking in French with someone else, talking badly about us, not knowing that we actually understood everything. We pretended not to and spoke English just to see how far they would go. Eventually, they gave us the room we actually booked. But when we got in, the smell was terrible—like a dirty mop. Dust was everywhere, the floor was filthy. We didn’t even use the shower because it was disgusting. But we had no choice—it was 1:50 in the morning after a long trip. Then at 2:35 a.m., someone suddenly started banging on our door. We had just fallen asleep. Guess who it was? The receptionist again! He said the system didn’t show that the payment had been made. Seriously?! I showed him proof that the money had been withdrawn, and explained that Booking.com secures the payment anyway. He just said, “Ah, ok, good night” and left—after waking us up like that. We couldn’t believe it. Totally unprofessional. Not even a 1-star rating would be fair—it deserves less. The next morning, we woke up early because we couldn’t stand the smell anymore. I went to the reception, a woman was there. I asked about the payment—she casually said, “Oh yes, everything is fine.” Then she asked, “Aren’t you staying for breakfast?” What breakfast?! After such a terrible experience…

Excellent service at every point from booking, to communicating in the lead up to and on the day and the cleanliness.

Bedrooms were a little on the small side - particularly for the one adult and 2 children in one room.

The breakfast has all a breakfast should have, the kitchen is quite good, the staff are friendly, the parking space is nearby

The hotel has only one problem : during the winter, it is difficult to get the room warmed up (only one electric radiator), and during the summer, the room temperature is too high and there is no airconditioning.

The rooms have all comfort (bed, bathroom, working desk, TV, WiFi) and the beds are very comfortable. The restaurant has friendly staff and a quality budget menu with a large choice that changes every week. Breakfast, appetizer and dessert menus offer an abundant choice. There is always parking space for the car in front of the room. The free WiFi signal in the rooms is strong enough.

During the cold season, the room, which has an outside entrance door, is hard to keep at a comfortable temperature. On Friday through Sunday nights, the restaurant is closed (but breakfast is available during weekends).

Sur les 4 jours de séjour, le ménage n'a jamais été fait ni le lit, il y a eu juste le changement de serviette. Le chauffage dans la salle de bain ne fonctionne pas en permanence il faut appuyer sur un bouton plusieurs fois. Il y a le bruit de la route qui est important. Il n'y avait pas de douche car j'étais dans une chambre pour des personnes à mobilité réduite alors que j'avais réservé depuis 5 mois. Je pense que c'est dû à la réservation par Boocking, d'ailleurs je pense arrêter de réserver par cette plateforme car ce n'ai pas la première fois que cela m'arrive.

L'hôtel est en rénovation ce qui n'est pas indiqué la moitié des chambres sont en travaux. La première chambre ne se fermait pas de l'intérieur... La deuxième sentait tellement la fumée qu'elle avait été aspergé de parfum.. du coup ça sentait trop le parfum et le tabac froid , joint sale dans la salle de bain. 8h18 du matin les travaux commencent au dessus de moi perceuses etc impossible de finir sa nuit

Houla. Chambre dépassée avec une odeur forte. Literie de mauvaise qualité et usée. Des poils dans le drap et une bouilloire à disposition pleine de calcaire et crade. Isolation absolument inexistante, on entend absolument toute la circulation depuis son lit. Attention aux photos mises en avant, c’est les chambres refaites. La majorité des chambres ne correspondent pas aux photos sur booking. Ah et dans certaines chambres les lits ont des roulettes, si vous avez le sommeil un peu agité c’est pas top..

La chambre n a pas ete faite pendant tout mon sejour. J'ai demande a l'accueil, il faut demander si vous souhaitez que la chambre soit faite. D'accord pourquoi pas, mais il faudrait le sugnaler a l'arrivee. Chauffage tres moyen, j'ai eu froid, heureusement que nius n'avons pas eu de temperatures negatives.....

Chambre à revoir

Je suis venu en Septembre et j'étais dans la chambre 50 côté arrière, tout était vraiment impeccable. J'ai eu une autre chambre côté parking cette fois ci j'ai honnêtement trouvé ma chambre moins agreable que la dernière fois. Déjà dans la Salle de Bain j'ai l'impression que ça n'a clairement pas été nettoyé avant que j'arrive et honnêtement c'est aussi plus bruyant du côté parking. Surtout qu'en plus cette fois ci j'ai payé en plus 20 euros plus cher que la dernière fois sans avoir le petit déjeuner inclus

Petit déjeuner super avec une grande variété de pains très bons. Personnel très gentil et à l’écoute. Bravo et surtout merci. Je reviendrai tous les ans car je viens régulièrement fleurir la tombe de mes parents à Douai. À très bientôt donc. Bien cordialement. Mme Maeva Lissowski
