Staff was very nice. Just a few comments about the room. The a/c was very loud and the motion detector lights in the entrance and bathroom were pretty annoying when you get up to go in the middle of the night. The furniture was a little beat up.

Staff was friendly. Very dated property. Extremely small bathrooms. There was a small notice on a wall outside of elevator indicating you needed to request housekeeping. Should be posted at front desk and they should also mention to you at check in. Within walking distance to airport.

Reserved at the last minute when another local hotel checked us into a room with one bed instead of the two that we needed for 2 people. Vijay, who was working that night was super helpful and solicitous. The hotel was perfectly fine and walking distance to the airport. It was the staff here that made for a great stay.

My family and I came to South Bend to attend a Notre Dame football game. We have been coming to South Bend for several years and have stayed in many hotels. This was not the best, not was it even close to the worst! The hotel was very close to the airport, so very convenient. The staff was personable and very helpful. The property is dated and needs some basic upgrades. Things like missing paint, torn carpets and loud blowers in the heating/air conditioning unit detract from the overall experience. Lastly, there are NO restaurants nearby, other than fast food delivery options. Definitely a minus.

When we checked into room 202, there was a stench in the room. Determined it was water damage under the fridge. The sheets and comforters had many yellow stains. Complained to management and was told that they were selling to Best Western so no effort to replace damaged furniture or stained bedding. Hallways were filthy and did not look like they were vacuumed for weeks. Had to sleep with the windows open and there was drag racing throughout the night. I will never stay here again. Asked for a partial refund and was told that they could not make money if they refunded money. Pictures on website are deceiving.

1st room smelled of smoke. The smoke detector had painters tape on it and when we asked them to remove it the smoke detector wasn’t even attached and fell out of the ceiling. We changed rooms 2nd room smelled better but remote didn’t work, towels were dirty and tub wouldn’t drain. We stayed two nights and both mornings the eggs were cold at breakfast. Will not be going back.

Located close to the train station. We arrived by Amtrak at 2 AM. We asked that our room be held for our late arrival and it was, no questions asked. We were received graciously by the night manager and in our room within minutes of arriving. A very positive experience.

There were stains on bedsheets, there was no hair dryer so I had to skip shower, lights in the bathroom is motion activated so the lights kept turning off and on. Staff is great just need to improve on bedding and amenities.

First room given…dirty toilet fixture and large stains on bed cover. First replacement room “everything “ covered by painting type tarps. Second room we just gave up and stayed because we were tired of going from one room to the next, but the sheets (although. “maybe” clean) were stained badly. Yuck!! The dresser drawer kept opening on its own and the refrigerator, although functional had candy wrapper in it so obviously not cleaned from previous occupants. Breakfast had very poor example of scrambled eggs and they were cold which matched the sausage links which looked like they were just waved over a heat source and coffee that tasted like instant.

There were dirty towels and someone’s fake eyelashes on the tub. Hair in one of the beds. Slept with my clothes/shoes on as there was something sticky on the floor near be bed. Covered the pillow with one of my shirts. I was barely there 6hrs to catch a very early flight or I would have left.

The staff was remarkable. The hotel had a clean appearance and was very quiet. I did however find a dried washcloth hanging from the shower curtain rod once I pulled the curtain closed. It appeared to have been there for some time.
