What a lovely hotel. Fantastic location to enjoy everything Porto has to offer. The breakfast was lovely. We ate in the restaurant twice and both times the food was excellent. The bar which opens up onto the street is a lovely area to enjoy. And the drink selection and snacks were great. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful too. So close to the station if you want to visit nearby towns. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

The absolute highlight of PortoBay Hotel Teatro is its unbeatable central location, and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. However, the hotel's interior feels quite stuffy and oppressive. A major drawback is the lack of an on-site gym and wellness center. Having to travel to their sister property to keep up with a training routine eats up valuable time and makes getting a workout in highly inconvenient. Overall, it is a decent choice for sightseeing, but the heavy atmosphere and missing amenities hold it back.

We had an excellent stay at PortoBay Hotel Teatro. The location was outstanding, within walking distance of many of Porto's top attractions, restaurants, and the beautiful Ribeira district, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The hotel itself was stylish, clean, and very comfortable. Our room was well-appointed, quiet, and provided everything our family needed after long days of sightseeing. What really stood out was the service. Every member of the staff we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with recommendations and any questions we had. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. We especially appreciated how convenient the hotel was for our early morning pickup to the Douro Valley tour, as well as its proximity to São Bento Station and the city center. We would absolutely stay here again on a future visit to Porto and highly recommend PortoBay Hotel Teatro to anyone looking for a comfortable, elegant hotel in an unbeatable location.
