    Despite being a bit far from Kyoto station, the room is clean and the service is good for the price. Highly recommended for those who are looking for budget hotels.

    In short: a good value for money. A small minus for the tax you pay when checking-in. When booking, Agoda clearly indicates “price WITH TAXES”, but when you check-in, the staff asks you to pay additional tax, which is not cool.

    This is a budget hotel which is more like a hostel than hotel. Room is small with a lot of dirt marks on the carpet. I wouldn't say it's dirty but it's not clean either. Most staffs are very young. They work quick and polite. However, they are not very professional and the detail of cleanliness is not there. The major issue for me is the tour group. Each day has a different tour group arrived and they automatically take over the lobby and elevators
