The room is of good size and the washing machine is superb!

We didn’t expect the size of the room to be spacious enough for us. We were very pleasantly surprised. A mini living room and beds, separate shower and toilet. We enjoyed the space, had time to wash our clothes and had good rest! We would definitely come back again!

We made this hotel our home for fourteen nights, using it as a basecamp to explore the cultural depths of Kyoto, the serene expanse of Lake Biwa, and the broader Kansai region. Geographically, the location is phenomenal—situated within an easy, pleasant walk of both Kyoto Station and the Keihan Railway’s Shichijo Station. ​The room itself prioritizes practical comfort. The inclusion of an in-room washer-dryer combo was a true luxury that made managing laundry effortless over our extended stay. While the kitchenette is decidedly compact—you certainly won't be roasting a holiday feast here—it is perfectly suited for preparing fresh local fruits and warming up light meals. The multilingual staff also deserve special mention for their consistently warm and exceptional assistance. ​There is, however, one significant compromise: the soundproofing. The acoustic insulation leaves much to be desired, allowing the persistent hum of passing street traffic to bleed into the room throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper, I highly recommend weighing this factor carefully before booking. From a convenience standpoint, the nearest full-sized supermarket is a seven-minute walk away, though having a 7-Eleven just around the corner proved to be a saving grace for quick, impromptu runs.
