    First time to Venice and chose this area because it is central and walkable to everywhere and didn't require an expensive vaporetto (water bus) when arriving on airport bus. We arrived late so phoned the number posted on the door and were remotely checked in which was pretty cool. The room is cosy and we enjoyed the breakfast which consists of mostly cakes but also juices, coffee, cereal, toast/croissant/baguette, meats and cheese. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. The TV has English channels in the Samsung app. Campo Santa Maria is nearby (Campo means square) which is probably the liveliest nightlife in sleepy Venice and we ate great pizza slices at Pizza al Volo there.
